Merry Christmas!

Here's to a World Series in 2009!

For your Christmas present today, Comcast Sportsnet is rebroadcasting the September 18 game against the Brewers, where Geovany Soto hit a game-tying three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth and the Cubs won in 12. Broadcast time: 2:30 pm CST. Merry Christmas!

Great picture, Al

And September 18th… that be my birthday! Too bad CSN Chicago doesn’t broadcast over here in England.

Happy Hanukah to all, and to all a good night!

Sweet!

That beats watching “A Christmas Story” twelve more times today.

Thanks for the heads up, Al.

Happy Holidays, y’all.

By the way

I saw where on June 23rd, the Cubs will be in Detroit. I thought for sure that they would request a home game to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the “Sandberg Game!” Any idea if they have something special lined up?
I can’t imagine they would not do something really cool. The only thing worse than not having the Cubs at home on that day would be staying in Detroit.

Merry Christmas to AL & ALL in Cubdom!

The Cubs haven't announced any promotions yet.

And, their schedule isn’t usually subject to any “anniversaries”.

But I would guess that they will have some promotions involving the 1984 team. At least, I’d think they should.

if they do...

if they do recognize the Sandberg Game I imagine they’ll pick the closest FOX telecast to that date at Wrigley Field and recognize it then. Too bad Saturday baseball isn’t as big as it was back in 1984 (aka, “game of the world”) because EVERYBODY was watching. Same goes to the World Series TV ratings that steadily decline year after year. You’d think that’s a hint hint to FOX or any baseball network to show more game in less time instead of “this game is sponsored by.”

Merry Christmas

Spending a few minutes online and not wanting to look at the pile of wrapping paper that needs to be cleaned up after we come back from mass and before we have some family over. Turkey is in the oven and such,

Merry Christmas, good will to all Santa please remember the Cubs come next fall!

Merry Christmas everybody!

All I want for Christmas is general acknowledgment that Derrek Lee has a no-trade clause!

Oh, and my two front teeth.

Merry Christmas all! Enjoy your time with your loved ones!

Love the picture, Al!

The Picture is Now My Wallpaper

Thanks Al and enjoy the day.

Merry Christmas Cubs fans!!!

The time now reads 9:40 on my new Breitling watch. What a gift!!!! I guess I’ve been a good boy this year

That's a cool picture...

Any information on who did that? It looks like pastels to my untrained eyes.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Cheerful Kwanzaa, Happy Islamic New Year, may your Bhuddas be fat and happy, may your karma be good, and may the coming year be filled with blessings for all of us.

And to my fellow Taoists, may you go with the flow.

Not sure who the artist is.

It’s a Christmas card I got a couple of years ago and recently found.

DETROIT ROAD TRIP.....

Being from Michigan I have been following anything special for the games next June . Tigers have announced tickets for that series will be premium prices . On a better note there are 2 new hotels that will be open . They are trying I repeat trying to clean up downtown .

I'm all over that replay this afternoon!
Merry Christmas To All
What an addiction this site is!

No matter what day or time or whatever is going on, i find time to check out BCB. Coming from someone who mainly just reads and doesnt post very often, i just want to say thanks and happy holidays to Al and all the regular posters who help make this site as informative and engaging as it is. And Al, it was a pleasure meeting you in Milwaukee. Merry Xmas to all.

Merry Cubmass to all

and to all a great season.

What no game day thread?

I feel jibbed :)

Just wait a week!
Cubs Classic blacked out..!

How in the world can this be blacked out here in the SF Bay Area…..? Coal to MLB if this is their doing.

Random note to Al:

My family got a holiday card from Selig and his family, and the quote on the inside of the card is the Hornsby quote you always had up on the side bar (about sitting and waiting for Spring). Looks like Al and Selig have more in common than we ever thought…

Perhaps Al would like to be commissioner some day?
Love to.

Not much chance of that, probably.

Merry Christmas to all!
I was there for this!

I also ran into Al after the game was done. I think it took me nearly a week or so to recover from how hoarse I was. I ended up missing this being rebroadcast, but oddly enough, I thought about it today when my fiancee presented me with a W flag for a Christmas gift.

its on tommorow again

12:30 PM

Hmmm

Checked my Comcast guide, and there’s a White Sox 2008 Rewind…Did you mean 12:30 AM?

According to ...

this, there’s a Cubs 2008 Rewind at 12:30 Central time today (Friday), but I don’t think it’s this game … it’s a one hour show.

my bad

i thought that would be it.. either way, tune in!

i was there!

I was at that game. However, Cubs re-wind was aired at 7pm that night and they didn’t even briefly mention that game because the big Z no-hitter and the clinch game overshadowed the September 18th game. I’m suprized CSN didn’t re-air the May 30th game. Too bad WGN didn’t re-air a game as well.

i know i miss-spelled suprised, you don't have to tell me
