I don't think anyone posted these yet, and I just got mine today when I got home from Arizona... so here are some of the season tickets and the pictures on them (way better than last year's).
There's one more ticket photo that I couldn't get into the scanner -- it's kind of a determined-face Lou Piniella photo.
I'm ready. Are you?

YEP!
who's that on the 3rd ticket? I can't tell...
digitalbenjamin - March 28, 2008
The One and only
Z!
buckeyecubbie - March 28, 2008
Which is it?
IowaCubs- - March 28, 2008
looks too small to be Z but it's for sure a Z move to jump like that. Dont know why they'd have A-Ram Soriano and Lee without having Z
Keystone80435 - March 28, 2008
It's Z alright.
By the by, thought the pic of Sori was Mr. Cub himself at first.
neverAcquiesce - March 28, 2008
That smile...
...is my favorite part of watching Soriano. He always seems happy to be playing.
IowaCubs- - March 28, 2008
me too
TC Cubby - March 28, 2008
Marmol!
JB 23 - March 28, 2008
I'm with you
I think the third ticket is Marmol
gwood - March 28, 2008
I'm looking at the actual ticket right now.
It's Z.

Keystone80435 - March 28, 2008
Doesnt really matter
but why are they printed right to left?
Keystone80435 - March 28, 2008
I guess it's so when you just peel them out of the book as you use them the games you'll use first are on the right since they are stapled along the left-hand side.

I love those.
All the pix are way better than last year's.
Al Yellon - March 28, 2008
Didt
the ones last year have little copper medallions of past plaers?
Keystone80435 - March 28, 2008
Yes.
Or they SAID they looked like past players, but none of them really did.
And they spelled Gabby Hartnett's name wrong ("Gaby").
Al Yellon - March 28, 2008
I find it appropriate that...
...Soriano's on the more expensive, weekend ticket.
I hope we get what we pay for this year.
IowaCubs- - March 28, 2008
Woah
I am READY for this season to start. But I am MORE ready for some nice weather here in Chicago. Going to a game next week is going to be a blast. But GOOD GOD, MAN, can we please get a break from this crap?!?!?!
steinmer - March 28, 2008
Weather looks good around the 9th
Hammer - March 28, 2008
I guess...
I can't complain about 45-50 and sunny next weekend. It's always hard around this time of year, because you KNOW how good life can be on a 60-70 degree day at the ballpark.
steinmer - March 28, 2008
When they're on the road, of course.

Al Yellon - March 28, 2008

IowaCubs- - March 28, 2008
I agree. I will happy to go from hearing about the 100 inches of snow.. to not having won in a 100 years!
Madison Cub Fan - March 28, 2008
I have a question
I bought a bunch of games when they went on sale and for 2 of the games i thought it would be a good idea to have the tickets mailed to me. And I have yet to receive them. I dont compeletly trust my mail person. So does any one have any idea on when i would be getting the tickets? Or know how I would go about finding that information?
Kchance - March 28, 2008
Call 1800 THE CUBS
Dont be worried yet unless you are talking about games this coming week. Have your confrimation and credit card info handy.
Hammer - March 28, 2008
Did you get
the 9 game package? those ship from California, not the Cubbies.
Keystone80435 - March 28, 2008
nope got the games
single purshases from cubs.com Im not worried to much, the games are june 1st and and some time in may. all my other games i just printed the tickets
Kchance - March 28, 2008
They come in spurts
n/t
flachimesa - March 28, 2008
yep
I dont think they have all games printed so you should get them a week or so before the game day.
Keystone80435 - March 28, 2008
Anything from cubs.com...
... is sent from tickets.com. Call customer service as suggested above.
Al Yellon - March 28, 2008
for future reference -
unless you want the actual tickets as a memento, IMHO having them emailed to you and printing them out is by far the most reliable way to get your tickets.
cubsonWGN4ever - March 28, 2008
Personally...
... if I were buying single game tix I think I'd make them will-call. I guess I just like having "hard" tickets rather than printouts.
Al Yellon - March 28, 2008
Unless
you are going to a game at miller. I made that mistake last year and waited in line for an hour.
Keystone80435 - March 28, 2008
Hint.
If you order multiple games and leave them all at will-call, you can pick them ALL up ANYTIME the box office is open, even on an off-day.
Al Yellon - March 28, 2008
So...
Can we expect to see a new page of ticket images every five games?
neverAcquiesce - March 28, 2008
They're usually the same images
Over and over again.
This year's are much better than last year's pukefests.

OT: New Addition To the BCB Community
Hey All!
My wife and I brought our daughter into the world this morning at 6:48am! Jordyn weighed in at 9 lbs 13 oz. and 20" long!
I'm not biased -- she's gorgeous. She winked at me around 6:52am as if to say, "Hey Dad, this is the year!" ;-)
Although I haven't been here long (Approx. 6 months), I enjoy being a part of the BCB family.
Thanks to all, and a special thanks to Al for bringing us all together!

I took my son when he was about 5 months old
One grumpy usher told us it was too cold to have him there.
countless people, from the ticket taker until we left, made jokes about child abuse by turning him into a cubs fan. That was 2005, though, so probably appropriate.

Got it as a gift
But the Cubs shop has quite a few nice options.
digitalbenjamin - March 28, 2008
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
I'm glad babies have Cubs gear to wear now. There wasn't much available when I was little. My younger brother had better luck - though his godfather, a White Sox fan, gave him a little WS windbreaker at his christening. We have a great pic of my Mom holding it with this disgusted look on her face.
Anyway! Cute kid!
bluebythebook - March 28, 2008

Mailed Tickets
For what it's worth -- I just received my bleacher tickets for May 10 against Arizona. That's about 6 weeks in advance of the game. The rest of my tickets are for games after that.
So I would think 6 weeks is a good benchmark.
ceegeewow - March 28, 2008

Been ready since the last out of the NLDS.
Listening to some Terry Cashman right now.
puckishcubsfan - March 28, 2008
I'm ready for real games...
...the last couple weeks of ST are always the most boring time for me, and I am looking forward to games that matter and how players respond to that.
I have a feeling, this is going to be a year with a lot of twists and turns that are always what you least expect.

I'm so ready for the season....
Even if its 10 below zero and a blizzard, there is nothing like the warmth of Wrigley buzzing with the excitement and hope of another season getting under way. I was at Opening Day 2003 (my only one to date). Perhaps I'm a good luck charm, so I will be making me way up I-55 to give Wrigley Field, its players and of course, the fans, a proper Irish blessing. I will post the blessing later. It's taking me a wee bit longer to compose than most. I guess that's just how anxious we all are to get this year going. So much for getting any sleep this weekend. Or eating a decent meal. Or being productive in any sense of the word.

I am so jealous
The only game I am certainly going to at this point is the very last game of the season at Miller Park.
gwood - March 28, 2008
At which, hopefully,
you won't see any starters, as they are getting an additional day of rest to get ready for the playoffs
TC Cubby - March 28, 2008
I
was excited about the game until you had to go and say that, thanx :).

Rudey - March 28, 2008
I'm jealous
of everyone being able to go to a game this year at Wrigley. My nephew is gettng married in Sept. and he picked a date when the Cubs are not in town. I complained to him but I'm only the uncle. He's marrying a very nice girl but guess what? She's a Sox fan. I told my nephew that the first thing you ask a girl you just meet is not her name but whether she is a Cubs fan or a Sox fan. Apparently her looks made him have a brain fart and he forgot to ask. This will be the first time I will be in Chicago and not see a Cubs game. Oh well, I'll just have to make another trip in October for the WS.
tucsoncubsfan - March 28, 2008
Unfortunately for people like me
The first thing I asked my girlfriend was "would you like a shot of tequila?" weve been together ever since.
Hammer - March 28, 2008
When is the date?
Maybe you can stay after, or come earlier, and take in a game.
Al Yellon - March 28, 2008
It's Sept. 6th
I'd have to come in earlier in the week. They are not home for a whole week after. Really can't afford to stay too long this time. :(
tucsoncubsfan - March 28, 2008
Came in early
last May for my other nephew's graduation but that was a Thursday game before the Cubs hit the road. That is when I met you outside the bleachers after the game.
tucsoncubsfan - March 28, 2008
Yes, I remember that.
Too bad you can't come a few days earlier. Enjoy the wedding.
Al Yellon - March 28, 2008
Wrigley Is getting So Close
We went down to Wrigley today to pick up all our tickets. I've never been there this close to opening day. The score board is all ready with Monday's games posted. They were hanging the flags around the field. The sunflower seeds were arriving for the clubhouse. It was neat to see all the buzz! I'm so excited!!!
