the Cell on Gameday… and it doesn’t look any bigger than Wrigley. How is it we have the “small” park, and they never get any bandbox comments?

The Cell is a major home run park.

ESPN’s own park factors have it as the most drastic homepark in the majors this year.

yesterday Marmol pitch 0 - 2 for a HR

Did not see the game due to blackouts here on the east coast. Was Marmol’s 0 -2 pitch near the zone or was it a good AB with a lucky swing ???

Pitch by pitch is all well and good in 9th inning and crucial situations

But all night is going to drive you - and everyone else - crazy.

That's exactly how I do it.

Pitch by pitch for things like Kosuke’s first AB as a Cub, Edmonds’ first, close and late situations. Anything more than that is overkill.

Way too many at-bats like that recently. And not just by Cedeno. Might explain the team’s recent weakness. It’s almost like poor hitting strategy is contagious. Seems like I’ve seen Cub hitters swing at first pitches after walks and with men in scoring position dozens of times in the last two weeks. It’s getting old.

And you can't be the same all season

scouts’ll report “never swings early in count” and then they’ll pitch you differently. You need to adjust your approach, which is what Dome is trying to do, I think.
