Anyone watching CSN pay attention during the crowd shot and did they perhaps see what I think I saw in seeing a little kid with a cubs jersey on reach and grab and drink a beer? or am I insane??
Getting hit by a pitch happens. These are grown men. We as fans better accept this…grow a sack and get over it. If a guy gets hit after a HR or something, rest assured it will be dealt with.
...simply throwing up and in serves a purpose. establishes the fact that if a batter is up there humping the plate, that i’m still going to throw inside. it also shows your team that you are paying attention to what is going on.
Hey – after two innings we’re on pace to see a double no-hitter – the second in Wrigley history. All they have to do is retire a combined 42 more batters without allowing a hit!
I missed an inning and a half, apparently didn’t miss much. Guy just brought in a Twin Reverb that looks like it has been in a shipwreck! So, folks, see y’all later…..work and Cubs….it just don’t get any better than that!!! See y’all later!

Cain on pace to smash the strikeout record today.
carmen_fanzone - July 11, 2008
He will K for all 27 outs, and hopefully still lose
nji232 - July 11, 2008
Wouldn't that be something?
Georgey - July 11, 2008
27 outs and a loss would mean they win in the 10th
Shanghai Badger - July 11, 2008
or they win on walks and errors
Georgey - July 11, 2008
27 outs = 9 innings
no matter what else happens
Shanghai Badger - July 11, 2008
Yeah nevermind, kinda forget that would mean no bottom of the 9th
Georgey - July 11, 2008
He could get 27 strikeouts with a dropped 3rd strike somewhere then lose on a walk off homer
and now we are getting ridiculous.

just so more people see it
last weekend many cubs batsmen were hit
The Riot, Soto both, and Lee just missed
At Edmonds knee it makes me want to spit
And other balls at cubs, it makes me pissed
A beanball war devoutly not is wished
To play the game is what all teams should do
But chin music is not like being kissed
Tho some would rather that from Tony L’Ru
Stop throwing at our cubs, so we don’t see
the color of their bruises green and black
It’s bad enough for losses to Cincy
That make me sad and want to hit the sack
The series we are bound for, Chicago
As long as at our heads they never throw
THAT’s a sonnett.

Getting hit by a pitch happens. These are grown men. We as fans better accept this…grow a sack and get over it. If a guy gets hit after a HR or something, rest assured it will be dealt with.
