The Cubs are on their way On the rad-i-o tune to 7-2-0-oh! Everybody loves the cubs Everybody loves the cubs It’s baseball time again Here on WGN Chicago loves the Cubs (let’s go!) on w-g-n
His recent production isn’t wrong, it’s just an incomplete picture of who he is as a hitter. I’ve written plenty about Theriot on multiple blogs, and there’s a request on Skribit for me to go back to that well.
He did, but at the same time he had a below-average walk rate.
I’d expect his walk rate to decline a bit, and his power production to increase a bit. Of course, I’ve been expecting this for a while now, so maybe it’s never going to happen.
...that’s a hit nine times out of ten, and Lee’s hit had a good shot at being a double. That’s how you want those guys to hit the ball.
Theriot got the ball off the end of the bat – he would even probably tell you that he was trying to square the ball up a bit more and hit a line drive. It’s about process, not results.
...but when you’re scouting or coaching, you’re looking at how a player swings more than what happens when he swings. You want Lee and Ramirez to go out there and do what they did at the plate in the first inning – they did their jobs, and you just have to tip your caps to the other team and say they made some good plays in the field.
Theriot “missed” on that hit in the first inning, but missed in his favor. Heck, even Bob Brenly said as much, and if he could get his hands on a set of ovaries he’d have Theriot’s babies.
are a little odd, too. that weird little 87mph thing he throws has got some filthy movement on it. pitches aren’t supposed to move like that. hopefully that’s not gonna strain his shoulder…
harden almost seems really over the top with his arm, and falls off to the side a bit. probably not a big deal, but odd.
Is tat he needs to rely more on the movement of the fastball rather than velocity. Sometimes he overdoes it with his 98 mph fastball. Just ask Big Z and he will tell that a 93 mph fastball is enough to get people out.
He starts off the game around 92 mph, and his velocity goes UP the more he pitches. Very odd. I suspect he dials up the speed when needs it, to save strain on his arm.
He stopped throwing one of his pitches to also ease his arm. I feel like it was a cutter or something similar, but don’t remember…just remember being surprised that it wasn’t a slider or slurve or something that usually leads to arm trouble.
i think dome is just a little worn out w/ everything
he’s been through a lot lately, and there’s a lot of pressure with him making the all star game… it’s not making it easier by the league starting to adjust to him and pitch him further down
...is that he’s throwing a lot more changeups than in years past, throwing fewer sliders and vastly fewer splitters. Down from about 20% of his pitches down to 7%.
derosa would kill everyone… MLB actually made him promise never to be in it when he signed his contract… they don’t want anyone to see his true power… you’d go blind instantly
with his fastball. a couple of 95s. one 97. mostly throwing the 92 and then a ton of change ups, whether they be little sliders or the more garden variety, all at about 87.
i guess that could be his splitter? some sort of slider? odd that it almost backs up while breaking down pretty sharply. his over the top delivery makes for some strange movement…
but i thought his slider was the one he was throwing in the first inning. a lot tighter break, and went down and in to a lefty. that thing to molina was loopier and breaking the other way almost. maybe he just throws it a little different depending on the situation.
I turned it off this morning because of that. How many different ways can you say “Farve wants to play, Packers not likely to say okay, Farve go somewhere else”
Go Harden!

slcathena - July 12, 2008
Lee's gotta get the runner to third there -- ugh
Texas Wahoo - July 12, 2008
Theriot really should have tagged on lee's flyout
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
Theriot should have hit a homer too..
Bump Bailey - July 12, 2008
I'd settle for more than four doubles a month.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
there you go again!
I love and appreciate sabermetrics, but how can Theriot’s recent production be wrong? Is there something on your blog about this?
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
Selective endpoints.
His recent production isn’t wrong, it’s just an incomplete picture of who he is as a hitter. I’ve written plenty about Theriot on multiple blogs, and there’s a request on Skribit for me to go back to that well.
cwyers - July 12, 2008

I’d expect his walk rate to decline a bit, and his power production to increase a bit. Of course, I’ve been expecting this for a while now, so maybe it’s never going to happen.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
see iowa cub
anything theriot does good is an “incomplete picture.” anything he does poorly is “the real theriot.”
getting a solid lead off single? failure. 3 and 4 hitter failing to score the run? best piece of hitting in the inning.
make sense?
billywan - July 12, 2008
Ramirez hit a screaming line drive...
...that’s a hit nine times out of ten, and Lee’s hit had a good shot at being a double. That’s how you want those guys to hit the ball.
Theriot got the ball off the end of the bat – he would even probably tell you that he was trying to square the ball up a bit more and hit a line drive. It’s about process, not results.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
isn't it about both?
but i agree with you on lee and aram. i just think it’s amusing how far people will go to avoid saying anything good about theriot…
billywan - July 12, 2008
I'm a sabermagician, not a scout...
...but when you’re scouting or coaching, you’re looking at how a player swings more than what happens when he swings. You want Lee and Ramirez to go out there and do what they did at the plate in the first inning – they did their jobs, and you just have to tip your caps to the other team and say they made some good plays in the field.

He was playing too shallow to get back there in time.
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
we couldn't get the runner over - hopefully they can't either
Texas Wahoo - July 12, 2008
He always plays shallow
He just isn’t as fast as he was.
Georgey - July 12, 2008
That's exactly right
Don’t really think there was much hot doggin’ it there. Just not as fast as he used to be. He’s 38.
BMoney79 - July 12, 2008
Indeed-he needs to get more comfortable with that!
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
Yeah.
It’s not his fault that he’s lost a step, but he does need to adapt to it, and start cheating a bit further back in the outfield.

But unlike Prior, Harden is headstrong.
Geo4MVP - July 12, 2008

CubsBullsBears - July 12, 2008
While I agree with the comparison, it still scares the crap out of me when I hear that name
nji232 - July 12, 2008
Yes
Please never mention that name again in the company of harden
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
Sorry, it's just somewhat of a similar pitching style
However, Harden mechanics are far better than Prior mechanics.
Geo4MVP - July 12, 2008
harden's
are a little odd, too. that weird little 87mph thing he throws has got some filthy movement on it. pitches aren’t supposed to move like that. hopefully that’s not gonna strain his shoulder…
harden almost seems really over the top with his arm, and falls off to the side a bit. probably not a big deal, but odd.
billywan - July 12, 2008
The only problem with Harden
Is tat he needs to rely more on the movement of the fastball rather than velocity. Sometimes he overdoes it with his 98 mph fastball. Just ask Big Z and he will tell that a 93 mph fastball is enough to get people out.
Geo4MVP - July 12, 2008
Harden mixes speeds on his fastball.
He starts off the game around 92 mph, and his velocity goes UP the more he pitches. Very odd. I suspect he dials up the speed when needs it, to save strain on his arm.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
yep
good to see, too. shows that he’s learning to protect his shoulder. don’t have to throw it through the backstop every time.
billywan - July 12, 2008
I read that
He stopped throwing one of his pitches to also ease his arm. I feel like it was a cutter or something similar, but don’t remember…just remember being surprised that it wasn’t a slider or slurve or something that usually leads to arm trouble.
berselius - July 12, 2008
What I really like about Harden so far...
...is that when his defense lets him down like that, he just bears down and strands the guy on second. Utterly filthy strikeouts.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
Edmonds strikesout
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008

Emelie - July 12, 2008

jbau - July 12, 2008
Hey alright!
Let’s help Rich out some more!
TyCubsfan - July 12, 2008
sweet
Chanman25 - July 12, 2008
Sneaky single!!!!!
Isn’t this around the same time that Fontenot came up and was white hot last year?
nji232 - July 12, 2008
yes it is..
i was thinking about that when i was reading the write up about him on Cubs.com.
mkcubs21 - July 12, 2008
exactly what i was thinking...
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
What in the world was bochy thinking by not walking fontenot
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
he was thinking...
... what am i doing managing this bad team?
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
oh man...
... do I miss barry.
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
There we go!!!!
cavebear - July 12, 2008
Harden, please don't swing. Just stay healthy!
ARAM FOR MVP - July 12, 2008
Hah I agree for sure. An out is way better than injury haha.
TyCubsfan - July 12, 2008
damn i'm way ahead of y'all
and i’m all the way in england!
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
Ha...Santo..
“My man, little Babe Ruth”.
Bump Bailey - July 12, 2008
santo's on his game today
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
Agreed...
Him and Pat both seem amped today…
Bump Bailey - July 12, 2008
Why does gamecast have men on 1st and 3rd?
Texas Wahoo - July 12, 2008
Gamecast has been drinking.
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
lol
Emelie - July 12, 2008
Wouldn't you be
If you were gameday?
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
lol...
... maybe you can drink a pint for gameday? you get cubs games at the pub?
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
of course not
But I have AFN and MLB.tv so I’m covered.
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
Then why haven't I? It is Saturday after all
Texas Wahoo - July 12, 2008
how was that first pitch a strike?
Chanman25 - July 12, 2008
Bunt is foul... K
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
YAY!!!!!
(Sorry for the delay, audio just cut out. I have got to fix this system. PxP for a bit, please?
slcathena - July 12, 2008
Theriot draws a free pass
KOSUKE TIME
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
Mound visit....
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
Don't try to steal, Theriot
Emelie - July 12, 2008
Mike Fontenot had you covered there.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
Theriot walks
Dome’s up with runners at first and second with 2 out.
BMoney79 - July 12, 2008
hey everybody!
how is everyone today?? i’m hung over!
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
so is gameday
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
HI, I"M FINE.
DO YOU HAVE A HEADACHE?
sue369 - July 12, 2008
Nice to meet you, Fine!
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
not really
just really tired… that’s how it works for me
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Eh, I was
trying to be a smart ass by yelling. Glad you don’t have a headache.
sue369 - July 12, 2008
hahaha ok gotcha
still a little slow ;-)
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
hi dr. nick!
Chanman25 - July 12, 2008
Welcome!!!
Haven’t seen you in a gamethread forever!!! Sorry about the hangover, that sucks!
slcathena - July 12, 2008
yeah i've been workin like crazy... i've hardly even had time to watch a game in over a week
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
I hear ya
I’ve been moving so half the time I’m packing while listening to the audio and can’t post. :P
slcathena - July 12, 2008
Just keep drinking water... unless you were drinking wine last night!
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
no wine
heineken and tequila… ug, bad combo… water very good right now… need some coffee though, might have a starbucks run in my future
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
really?
why no water with wine? I’ve never heard that!
slcathena - July 12, 2008
if i remember
it aggrivates the sulfates again… but i think that’s only red wine…?
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
intriguing.
That explains a couple really rough mornings…
slcathena - July 12, 2008
It's more with red wine than with white
And it basically keeps you at that drunk/sick state.
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
If you shouldn't drink water what should you drink?
John Q Freejazz - July 12, 2008
more wine, of course.
drewishdrewid - July 12, 2008
Dome bounces out to end the inning.
BMoney79 - July 12, 2008
Chad Fox...
He’s still on the team? 60 day DL?
CubsBullsBears - July 12, 2008
I think so, though I hope he doesn't pitch again for us this year
nji232 - July 12, 2008
I just...
Always see him in the dugout and he hasn’t pitched in a while
CubsBullsBears - July 12, 2008
Well thats nice of the Cubs to let him stick around and hang out in the dugout.
nji232 - July 12, 2008
Kosuke has lost a little bit of that patience at the plate from earlier in the year
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
He's probably frustrated by the recent slump
I fully expect him to come out of it.
slcathena - July 12, 2008
He may be worn out. The AS break should help.
Seattle Cubs Fan - July 12, 2008
Except hes playing in the all star game
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
he still gets Monday, Wednesday and Thursday off. . .
Seattle Cubs Fan - July 12, 2008
he's looking awkward at the plate, alas
Emelie - July 12, 2008
He had an 0-47 slump
in Japan two years ago, and ended up winning the batting title
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
Good to know.
slcathena - July 12, 2008
i think dome is just a little worn out w/ everything
he’s been through a lot lately, and there’s a lot of pressure with him making the all star game… it’s not making it easier by the league starting to adjust to him and pitch him further down
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Good inning
Texas Wahoo - July 12, 2008
Bah
obviously, I made the wrong choice; it’s a BEAUTIFUL day, and I’m sitting at home. And my car didn’t even get fixed.
Oh, well. LET’S GO CUBS!
drewishdrewid - July 12, 2008
There will be others.
Nice to have yo here with us today. :-D
sue369 - July 12, 2008
oh, I know.
I need 3 tickets for Aug 30, that’s my birfday.
drewishdrewid - July 12, 2008
My birthday is Sept. 1st.
sue369 - July 12, 2008
well, heck!
we should make a party of it. My wife’s is Sept 11.
drewishdrewid - July 12, 2008
Sept 18
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
One month later and you get me. Right in the middle of the World Series fun.
So many disappointing birthdays….
northsider - July 12, 2008
10/10 here
Emelie - July 12, 2008
I actually have the batter's eye box rented out for Aug 31!
cubsonWGN4ever - July 12, 2008
for me?
really, you shouldn’t have… oh, ok!
drewishdrewid - July 12, 2008
Lucky you!!!!!
sue369 - July 12, 2008
Mine's september 2nd :)
cubsonWGN4ever - July 12, 2008
Wow, we just need
to have a huge party then.
sue369 - July 12, 2008
this is what I'm saying!
drewishdrewid - July 12, 2008
Awwwww.
We’ll try to partially make up for it with good company.
slcathena - July 12, 2008
aww drew
it was a really tough call… don’t be too hard on yourself :-)
Emelie - July 12, 2008
no worries
it means more money to spend on mojitos tonight before we go to the movies.
drewishdrewid - July 12, 2008
what are you going to see?
Emelie - July 12, 2008
Wall-E
I think. Late show, sans childrens.
drewishdrewid - July 12, 2008
Just saw it.... you'll like it a lot
Emelie - July 12, 2008
yep!
drewishdrewid - July 12, 2008
why do they always have to zoom in on the guy...
... who thinks it’s okay to have his shirt off?
Can’t be good for the ratings.
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
Correia strikes out,1 down
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
Another K!
nji232 - July 12, 2008
Anybody know what pitches Harden features?
I’ve seen the 4 seamer and some sort of breaking ball… maybe a changeup?
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Slider, split finger
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
Fastball and changeup
nji232 - July 12, 2008
Harry Pav is everybody’s friend.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
thanks!
awesome link
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
awesome link...
my favorite quote is talking about his slider:
wow.
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
yeah
good stuff there.
i thought i read that harden had more or less given up the splitter to protect the shoulder…
billywan - July 12, 2008
What it looks like to me...
...is that he’s throwing a lot more changeups than in years past, throwing fewer sliders and vastly fewer splitters. Down from about 20% of his pitches down to 7%.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
maybe new window links during game threads please?
northsider - July 12, 2008
+1
Emelie - July 12, 2008
+1
and a real rec. Best idea ever.
slcathena - July 12, 2008
I'll see what I can do.
You can right-click on the link to bring up a menu and let you bring it up in a new tab, which I find preferable to a new window.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
That also adds a couple steps to just *click*.
northsider - July 12, 2008
Valez walks
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
any cubs...
in the HR derby that we know if?
preachermancubsfan - July 12, 2008
Nope, I would of liked to see Zambrano try, but no way in hell Lou lets him
nji232 - July 12, 2008
ROFLMAO
I totally thought about that this morning…would so not be worth it if he got hurt though.
slcathena - July 12, 2008
With that nice porch in right, whats saying he couldn't make a run at it?
nji232 - July 12, 2008
i don't think so
but 14 year old evan longoria will be in it… gag
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Eva...
...she’s attractive.
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
I hope so, though I haven't heard anything.
I need someone to champion in a bet with one of the other Ladies…
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
i wanna see
soto do it!!!
preachermancubsfan - July 12, 2008
or rami
preachermancubsfan - July 12, 2008
or dempster!
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
lilly could pitch it....
ok that was a horrible comment….sorry
preachermancubsfan - July 12, 2008
ZiNG!
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
it wouldn't matter
derosa would kill everyone… MLB actually made him promise never to be in it when he signed his contract… they don’t want anyone to see his true power… you’d go blind instantly
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Infield hit for castillo
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
that was a REALLY good pick and throw by ARAM though
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Agreed
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
ahh
ARAM FOR MVP - July 12, 2008
Durham K's
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
HE GONE
ARAM FOR MVP - July 12, 2008
How is Harden's velocity
Listening on the radio, and they haven’t said anything.
storkysm - July 12, 2008
He hit 96 a couple times, mostly in the low to mid 90s.
nji232 - July 12, 2008
That's good to hear.
Thanks everyone for the update.
storkysm - July 12, 2008
Fastball from 92-97
ARAM FOR MVP - July 12, 2008
93-94 on the 4 seamer
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
he's around 92
with his fastball. a couple of 95s. one 97. mostly throwing the 92 and then a ton of change ups, whether they be little sliders or the more garden variety, all at about 87.
billywan - July 12, 2008
flyout 3 out
i’m noticing harden is a really good inning manager, that is SO GREAT to see
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Molina flies out end of inning
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
what is that pitch
i guess that could be his splitter? some sort of slider? odd that it almost backs up while breaking down pretty sharply. his over the top delivery makes for some strange movement…
billywan - July 12, 2008
i THINK that's his slider... check out that link above, it talks about how nasty that pitch is
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
yeah, i saw that
but i thought his slider was the one he was throwing in the first inning. a lot tighter break, and went down and in to a lefty. that thing to molina was loopier and breaking the other way almost. maybe he just throws it a little different depending on the situation.
billywan - July 12, 2008
3 very nice innings from Harden so far
nji232 - July 12, 2008
yep. excellent start
Emelie - July 12, 2008
i can't wait for sportscenter...
you just KNOW they’re going to spend more time comparing CC to Rich than talking about the cubs playing well as a team
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
yeah, but more likely...
they’ll discuss what Brett Favre and Harden have in common. Ugh… enough with the Favre coverage!
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
OMG
I turned it off this morning because of that. How many different ways can you say “Farve wants to play, Packers not likely to say okay, Farve go somewhere else”
slcathena - July 12, 2008
pitch count not awful either
Chanman25 - July 12, 2008
what is it?
slcathena - July 12, 2008
41
Chanman25 - July 12, 2008
Impressive considering the number of strikeouts
Texas Wahoo - July 12, 2008
gracias.
and yeah, not bad at all.
Let’s give him some run support now!!!
slcathena - July 12, 2008
low 40s
Seattle Cubs Fan - July 12, 2008
How many K's for Harden? 5?
ARAM FOR MVP - July 12, 2008
dunno...
i missed the first inning… was still getting my ass outta bed
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
yep
CubbyBlues - July 12, 2008
Let's get some runs!!!!
sue369 - July 12, 2008
a Lee HR would be great here...
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Wouldn't that be true anytime? :)
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
yes
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Ya it's been a while since he's hit one
CubsBall2202 - July 12, 2008
it's been what...
since the series before STL?
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
What about Rowand's chain?
That thing is not cute.
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
it's the only way he can contain the passion and the fire though
with out that chain he would just explode… or implode… either way, it’d be nasty and take a while to clean up
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
LOL
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
At least it's not Josh Beckett's...
... hemp weave necklace thing. I smell the patchouli, ferrett droppings and bongwater from here.
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
C'mon Geo!
and Len gives a shoutout to Sanantone
Emelie - July 12, 2008
I thought Len and Bob just gave me a special hello
Since I’m watching on AFN – But I’m in ENGLAND not Vicenza!
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
we're not good with geography here in the states ;-}
Emelie - July 12, 2008
That's what I'm taking it as
Surely, he wasn’t giving some other troop a shoutout when he meant ME!
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
i went to a small school
we didnt even have geography class, lol
preachermancubsfan - July 12, 2008
For real? I missed that?
You’re famous!
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
Geo with the walk
nice ab there
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Geo walks
sue369 - July 12, 2008
gotta love the geo batting eye...
he’s going to make tens of millions of dollars in his career.
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
I hope so.
sue369 - July 12, 2008

IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
i'll second that motion
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Thirded!
slcathena - July 12, 2008
What's on the agenda?
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
Closet Edmonds worship...
“Hi, my name’s Phil.”
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
and I secretly light candles for Edmonds in my closet...
...creepy, I know, but it feels so good to get it off my chest, you know.
Is this wrong?
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
Uhhhh
we have got to talk.
mondello58 - July 12, 2008
If he hits more HRs like that...
ain’t nuthin wrong with it.
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
I think...
you and IowaCubs need to hook up. Kind of freaky deaky!
mondello58 - July 12, 2008
yes
very wrong, call someone
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
free taco bell for everyone with a hang over!
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
Best. idea. ever.
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
Way to go, Jimmy!!
jennypage - July 12, 2008
I'm not putting money on it...
but I bet Edmonds hits 25 this year if he stays healthy
lswaidz - July 12, 2008
He crushed the hell out of that ball.
jodydavisgal - July 12, 2008
Atta boy JIMMY!
TyCubsfan - July 12, 2008
who said
he was in a slump?
preachermancubsfan - July 12, 2008
Well,
he sort of has been, but that’s a hell of a slump buster, and I’ll take it!
slcathena - July 12, 2008
JIMMAY!!!!
WEEEEE!!!!
slcathena - July 12, 2008
Soto deserves some credit there...
...clogging up the basepaths.
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
D-Ro walks!
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
jim edmonds
can ride his bike with no handlebars
preachermancubsfan - July 12, 2008
when jim edmonds does pushups...
he actually pushes the world down.
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
That song is awesome.
slcathena - July 12, 2008
Someone in the pregame thread
predicted a homerun by Edmonds today but I can’t remember who it was.
sue369 - July 12, 2008
i think it was me...i dont know if i said HR though
preachermancubsfan - July 12, 2008
Gotta stay here
ESPN Gamecast way behind. :(
mondello58 - July 12, 2008
ESPN has the worst gamecast of them all
nji232 - July 12, 2008
Like I said yesterday...
slower than Hank White and Daryle Ward.
On that note, I sure hope Hank starts tomorrow.
mondello58 - July 12, 2008
He is..Lou said
so before the game today.
sue369 - July 12, 2008
yea!
mondello58 - July 12, 2008
ANOTHER walk!
sanantonecub - July 12, 2008
I think...
We’ll see a Edmonds curtain call in Wrigley before the year is over.
CubsBullsBears - July 12, 2008
What were the odds of that before the season started?
.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%
MikeOxbyg - July 12, 2008
so you're saying there was a chance?
Gotta love Gary Gaetti.
IowaCubs- - July 12, 2008
Walks have really helped us out this inning
Getting to the pitchers spot is HUGE
nji232 - July 12, 2008
Correia has thrown 30 pitches this inning.
Texas Wahoo - July 12, 2008
wow
sue369 - July 12, 2008
Harden looks better than Lilly at the plate
So he has that going for him, which is nice
nji232 - July 12, 2008
Gunga gunga...
gunga galunga.
mondello58 - July 12, 2008
surprised pink hat guy isn't at the game
Emelie - July 12, 2008
He's at home
writing a check for the Cubs
MikeOxbyg - July 12, 2008
analyzing the financials no doubt
Emelie - July 12, 2008
Harden's not going to remind anyone of Zambrano at the plate, though.
cwyers - July 12, 2008
Dude.
We have pinch hitters that don’t remind me of Z at the plate. He’s one of a kind. :)
slcathena - July 12, 2008
Hello all
Nice to see Jimmy back on track!
Itchy - July 12, 2008
Welcome!!
