I bought it and downloaded all the things it said i needed and it wont work on my computer. It worked last year. It also works on other computers so its not my account. any suggestions?
I don't have MLB.TV, but I had the same problem with Gameday Audio
I called them multiple times, then I finally asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor escalated my problem to “tier 2 tech support”. After losing my initial e-mail reply, they finally called me back and helped me figure out my problem. (Tier 2 folks really know what they’re talking about.)
In my case, it had to do with some combination of an outdated Java platform and my firewall. Also, she had me disable Silverlight—it seems to do more harm than good.
I had to disable my Windows (XP) firewall and cut my Kaspersky firewall to minimal protection to make it work. Apparently, the new system streams something that some firewalls regard as a threat. She said that firewalls have been one of the biggest problems with the 2008 products.
Uninstall Silverlight, and disable the Windows XP firewall.
In Kaspersky, put the Firewall on “low security”, check “Enable filtration system”, uncheck “Enable Intrusion detection System, uncheck “Enable Popup Blocking”, and uncheck “Enable Anti-Banner”. You might need to restart for that to take effect.
You probably need NextDef—not sure, as I only have Gameday Audio and don’t need it.
If that doesn’t work, call MLB Tech Support and immediately ask to speak with a supervisor. They can elevate problems. If you call during “business hours” they may be able to forward you to tier 2 immediately.
It is probably Silverlight. You need to uninstall it and run the older media center interface. Silverlight is still very buggy (it is technically a beta software … which leads me to believe that MLB.com is crazy to put it in as the primary interface.)
Uninstall Silverlight under control panel – add remove programs. Reboot. Log back into MLB. It will ask if you want to run the older media center of silverlight interface. Pick media center.
in the cards game where giles (i think) hit the wall and when the ump asked him about it, he totally just stared him down, and dissed him?? ...i htought it was funny
Last Sunday was our regional high school baseball final match for National Koshien Tournament (Final Four equivalent in Japan), and the team managed by my friend won first time in 11 years, beating Spring National Champion team by the score of 5-2. It was very first time for my friend in his 30 years of management career in 4-5 schools, as he is known as silver medal collector. We had dinner on Friday and he was so happy. Their ace pitcher is another top draft candidate, throws 95mph fastball, very well-located cut ball, change up, splitter and nasty slider.
the Yankees got me into baseball in the first place so I still have a little soft spot for them… and I spent half my life in Boston, so the Red Sox also have a bigger soft spot. Fear not, the Cubs are the love of my life.
what some of us have been discussing since the ASG:
by the years’ end, if this holds true to form, if the team is not around .500 on the road – the Division will be tough odds to win. Especially this year.
This team better get less aggressive early in the count and much, much more selective or this road trip, and this division lead, is going to whittle to nothing. There is no reason Ronny Cedeno should ever swing the bat unless he has two strikes on him. He isn’t a home run threat, he isn’t a run producer. He has to approach AB’s like he’s a pitcher and let them throw him three strikes to beat him. Same for Reed Johnson, same for Theriot, same for Fontenot to some extent.
Let's win this one Cubs!!!!!!

Dome's diary up
Good morning….
I just put up quick summery of Dome’s recent diary from ASG. Hope he can go out of his slump asap…
Last Sunday was our regional high school baseball final match for National Koshien Tournament (Final Four equivalent in Japan), and the team managed by my friend won first time in 11 years, beating Spring National Champion team by the score of 5-2. Hearing about that team makes me sick
nji232 - July 19, 2008
timely hits = 0 :-(
We’ll turn that around.
This team needs to give Z some run support. The Cubs seem to really struggle every time Z is on the bump.
LAcarl519 - July 19, 2008
5 left on base if anyone else is counting at home :(
Madison Cub Fan - July 19, 2008
Nice 3-1 swing.
Canadian Cubs Fan - July 19, 2008
Ok this officially sucks.
Why does this team look so bad on the road!!!!
High_Tight_Fastball - July 19, 2008
It's all mental
home vs. road.
Canadian Cubs Fan - July 19, 2008
A Case of Dustyitis
Not many BBs, lots of fugly at bats.
CaliCub - July 19, 2008
OT: Anybody see the HBO doc on Micky Mantle?
It was OK… a bit bland
Emelie - July 19, 2008
didn't see it but I am so sick of all the old Mantle, Yankees rap on HBO, ESPn, etc.
who cares, hell he wasn’t even the best player of his generation.
DC Cubbie - July 19, 2008
Back In Motown...
You would hear the argument that Al Kaline was better than The Mick. Not a better power hitter but a better overall player.
CaliCub - July 19, 2008
I agree
Do a lil more on someone like Jackie Robinson.
Madison Cub Fan - July 19, 2008
Confess
the Yankees got me into baseball in the first place so I still have a little soft spot for them… and I spent half my life in Boston, so the Red Sox also have a bigger soft spot. Fear not, the Cubs are the love of my life.
Emelie - July 19, 2008
man we are bad right now
DC Cubbie - July 19, 2008
still too early
Emelie - July 19, 2008
not that we are going to lose tonight, but didn't we lose the first two
games of the first half? That part of the season seemed to turn out OK.
12 innings is not a trend.
LAcarl519 - July 19, 2008
You are correct
on the two losses.
sue369 - July 19, 2008
YOU and Sue
keep forgetting – that was at HOME. Big difference. And – the Cubs historically have a poor winning percentage in Houston.
This team could be ties for first by next week. Let’s hope not – but this road play is BRUTAL.
The E-Man - July 19, 2008
I hate "In play, out(s)"

GateCity, VA Cubs Fan - July 19, 2008

DC Cubbie - July 19, 2008

High_Tight_Fastball - July 19, 2008
WOW
GateCity, VA Cubs Fan - July 19, 2008
Hey!
It’s going to take more than 1 run to win this game!!
Relax!!
PhillyCub - July 19, 2008
Z is starting to get mad.

Settle him down Geo.

High_Tight_Fastball - July 19, 2008
Don't worry about the other guys!!!!
As long as the Cubs win the series they play through the end of the year, they’ll be fine

CaliCub - July 19, 2008
Time to worry
Folks
PhillyCub - July 19, 2008
OK this sucks
Emelie - July 19, 2008
This is what happens when you give up a hit to the pitcher
GateCity, VA Cubs Fan - July 19, 2008
3 hits and 2 runs for the Astros
and 5 Hits and 0 runs for the Cubs. More of that Chinese math.

High_Tight_Fastball - July 19, 2008

High_Tight_Fastball - July 19, 2008
This is shaping up
like another 2-4 road trip.
Ugh…
How do the Cardinals keep winning on the road with their pitching. I guess Pujols never slumps for long…

hes my sign to log off bcb
Madison Cub Fan - July 19, 2008
Don't worry -
we’ll “get ‘em tomorrow” – right guys?
A team psychologist could hypnotize them into thinking their road games are at Wrigley?
The E-Man - July 19, 2008
Is the game over?
sue369 - July 19, 2008
I didn't realize this was only a 3 inning game
LAcarl519 - July 19, 2008
It is 3 innings
X 3.
When you see some signs of life, let us know.
The E-Man - July 19, 2008
well, maybe Z can have a nice short inning here and
we can turn this momentum around.
The Cubs do tend to look lethargic on the road, more often than not. We have to break that trend…the sooner the better!
LAcarl519 - July 19, 2008
I finally got my MLB.TV to work
Thanks for all the help everyone. I appreciate it
BradB311 - July 19, 2008
Great.
Maybe you’ll bring them some luck now.
sue369 - July 19, 2008
I freakin hope so
BradB311 - July 19, 2008
What was the problem?
DeRoMyHero - July 19, 2008
Lou needs to remind these guys the 2nd half has started
DC Cubbie - July 19, 2008
Tonight's play exemplifies
what some of us have been discussing since the ASG:
by the years’ end, if this holds true to form, if the team is not around .500 on the road – the Division will be tough odds to win. Especially this year.
The E-Man - July 19, 2008
DOOM AND GLOOM!!!!!!!
Happy now?
sue369 - July 19, 2008
Just reality
Reality bites. Its a looong season, and the Cubs will certainly be in the hunt. Wake up and smell the coffee.
The E-Man - July 19, 2008
Hey I'm fine.
It is what it is. Complaining in post after post doesn’t change things.
sue369 - July 19, 2008
Fuke got a hit?
Buy a lottery ticket!
Canadian Cubs Fan - July 19, 2008
Until they figure out
how to win on the road…..
just hope they stick around.
September doesn’t look too promising
PhillyCub - July 19, 2008
Nice Cubs
gocubs40 - July 19, 2008
ughhh Cedeno
1 step forward, 2 steps back.
High_Tight_Fastball - July 19, 2008
Thank you for not
referring to him as “Onedec”.
The E-Man - July 19, 2008
Patience
This team better get less aggressive early in the count and much, much more selective or this road trip, and this division lead, is going to whittle to nothing. There is no reason Ronny Cedeno should ever swing the bat unless he has two strikes on him. He isn’t a home run threat, he isn’t a run producer. He has to approach AB’s like he’s a pitcher and let them throw him three strikes to beat him. Same for Reed Johnson, same for Theriot, same for Fontenot to some extent.
krummy12 - July 19, 2008
a hit and run would have seemed like a good call there
Lou seems to be a little slump of his own.
DC Cubbie - July 19, 2008
In any event
looks like it will be a dogfight among three teams for the rest of the year. – sigh -
Grab your Pepto Bismol
The E-Man - July 19, 2008
+1
so who do Cub fans cheer for next week?
Madison Cub Fan - July 19, 2008
cheer for a Cardinals sweep
gocubs40 - July 19, 2008
I love the way WGN
always includes a few cuts to Santo during the game … they really get it
Emelie - July 19, 2008
walking Brad Ausmus is like walking the pitcher
DC Cubbie - July 19, 2008
I so wish we had the catcher and pitcher mic'ed
Emelie - July 19, 2008
5 walks..
gocubs40 - July 19, 2008
Honestly,
considering they are right now 15-15 with Soriano out, they have done remarkably well.
He makes the lineup so much stronger when he’s on.
The E-Man - July 19, 2008
Nice play Aramis!
gocubs40 - July 19, 2008
Unreal, this is disgusting! We are in big trouble, we don’t look good at all, and the way we play on the road is just awful!
D-Bone - July 19, 2008
Not to worry -
we’ll get ‘em tomorrow.
Soriano is back next Thursday or Friday. Hopefully we’ll still be in or near first by then.
The E-Man - July 19, 2008
I got someone for everyone to blame!!
My dad!!!!!!!!
My trip to Wrigley was for the Giants series last weekend.
His flight was delayed and he didn’t show up to Wrigley until the 6 inning last Sat when it was 7-0 Cubs.
He saw a 7-1 game in favor of the Cubs. But ever since then, the Cub haven’t been the same.
Place your blame on him!!!!!!!!!! LOL
PhillyCub - July 19, 2008
What's Zambrano's pitch count?
High_Tight_Fastball - July 19, 2008
I think the Houston MLB broadcast had 79 prior to the last out...so 80....
mmancubfan - July 19, 2008
offense now would be a good time to show up
DC Cubbie - July 19, 2008
z, theriot, johnson
runs!
gocubs40 - July 19, 2008
hell a this point a run would be good
DC Cubbie - July 19, 2008
Just out of curiosity
does anybody know the Cubs road splits with soriano in the lineup compared to without him
