Over on Athletics Nation, we called him King Rich. We had a little picture of a crowned Rich with a K, which we’d post for every strikeout. I’m bringing that tradition here, if you don’t mind. Here’s King Rich, Cubbies style
I dont think they really did much of anything. Not near the way they are hitting the ball tonight. They hot a lot of popups but nothing that really traveled very far.
Why do I have the feeling I’m going to be reading “Rich Harden: Tough Luck Loser” stories tomorrow morning. We might get shut out by Randy Johnson’s corpse.
Show me where I was complaining. You used the game yesterday to show that we could handle the loss of Soriano, but if you watched the game you would see that not all 9 of the runs were scored in typical cubbie fashion (scored throughout the game, scored in the 7th, etc)
You expect every game to be played in “typical Cubbie fashion” (whatever that is)? There are 162 games in a season. There will be highs and lows. Get used to it.
Didn’t even take into account what my comment was just dismissed it since it wasn’t a part of cubbie optimism, sorry everything about this team isn’t heavenly
But i for one am worried if this team is fortunate enough to get to the world series and face the tough al pitching staffs, seeing how cold our offense looked against the al this year
have you noticed the generous strike zone for both pitchers?
that is not going to make it easier on either offense tonight. it is going to make all the batters look bad. you can’t be patient when you know the strike zone is bigger than normal. it sucks, but accept it.
Murton – will never be better than mediocre Patterson – no arm, looks funny Gallagher – Future workhorse but his stuff is far from spectacular Donaldson – we already have a catcher
