It wasn’t game by game – it look a dive all of a sudden, like they went back any gave someone an error in a previous game and that lead to more ‘unearned’ runs. Anyone know? It’s shows 2.95 somehow now.
Spotd NIte last night and he said this team has such great chemistry. He said he invited the players over to his house for dinner Monday night and expected maybe 5-6 to show up but 22 showed up. He said 22/25 is pretty good. He said he was worried he wouldn’t have enough food and drink. I think that says a lot about this team.
Looks like the change came on July 12 – not sure how many ERs he was originally credited for, but now it’s down to 1 ER, so instead of his ERA jumping from 3.51 to 4.13, it only went from 3.51 to 3.61 – for anyone that cares – lol.
but I do know that the official scorer is usually a reporter sitting in the press box. This is another one of those baseball traditions passed on for generations…..and it’s a little weird.
None. Lou, come to your senses and bury him 8th. Batting him higher doesn’t instill confidence but simply adds to pressure. The guy hasn’t hit a ball hard in 6 weeks.
The Dome numbers Len and Bob keep rolling out there are useless
Oh, well Dome is still batting .300 at home. Yay. How long are they going to whip that stat out? How about 6 RBIs in his last 27 games? That projects nicely to a sub-40 RBI season
When an official box score is changed like that 7/12 game with Marmol...
...is that tracked online somewhere? I see the updated box score, but no mention of the actual change or why it was made, who was charged with the error, etc.
First?
I think so

Yup
But, as far as the little girl, we can’t argue about that too much, as we’re the ones who invented that sort of thing.

None. Lou, come to your senses and bury him 8th. Batting him higher doesn’t instill confidence but simply adds to pressure. The guy hasn’t hit a ball hard in 6 weeks.

Lets get Theriot back up there and bury Dome in the 8 spot unless Blanco is starting.

My kingdom to hold this lead
sanantonecub - August 13, 2008

sanantonecub - August 13, 2008
definitely

I think we - Lou - would do the same thing.

Somewhat interesting stat
on the Braves’ feed: Kosuke is tied for the NL lead (with Aramis) in the category of 2-strike hits, with 58.
JohnM - August 13, 2008
Lets see if this is
the typical Marquis, who likes to give up runs after getting a lead….. Hold em!
Lou In Blue - August 13, 2008
1 out
running catch by Soriano
drewishdrewid - August 13, 2008

santoswoodenlegs - August 13, 2008
I didn't notice the hop. Did anyone else see him hop? He didn't have time to hop.
zevkalman - August 13, 2008
Didn't see a hop.
sue369 - August 13, 2008
No hop caught it on the run.
Fishbone2 - August 13, 2008
running
drewishdrewid - August 13, 2008
Nice catch by Sori
Fishbone2 - August 13, 2008
How sad seeing
all those empty seats.
sue369 - August 13, 2008
Sadly, that's Braves baseball for you
At the end of their divion-winning streak, they wouldn’t even sell out the playoffs until a game or two into the NLCS.
A great park, a great town, a great team. The team deserves better (well, did)
sanantonecub - August 13, 2008
The Dome numbers Len and Bob keep rolling out there are useless
Oh, well Dome is still batting .300 at home. Yay. How long are they going to whip that stat out? How about 6 RBIs in his last 27 games? That projects nicely to a sub-40 RBI season
BeltwayCubsFan - August 13, 2008
How to get on Peachtree TV:
Be 8 years old. Scream annoyingly from a suite right below the broadcast booth. Get on tv :)

drewishdrewid - August 13, 2008

drewishdrewid - August 13, 2008

sue369 - August 13, 2008
Poor Atlanta. In a doubleheader, they need a relief pitcher in the 3rd inning.
zevkalman - August 13, 2008
Darn.
neverAcquiesce - August 13, 2008
bodes well for a sweep

When an official box score is changed like that 7/12 game with Marmol...
...is that tracked online somewhere? I see the updated box score, but no mention of the actual change or why it was made, who was charged with the error, etc.
malicedoom - August 13, 2008
Hey Buddy...
Buddy Carlisle new pitcher.

mlern - August 13, 2008

Braves Blog Update
The Braves “TalkingChop” SBNation blog has only about 20 posts—as you can see here. Most stupid quote:
I guess it bothers them they don’t have any fans in the stadium.
