(usually interviewed on ESPN 1000) have said they respect what day baseball means to the Cubs but ultimately the would prefer more night games Rest, obviously being the motivating factor.
We have home field advantage clinched. All that’s left is to play with our food and decide which is going to be the salad dish or the main course. The dessert, of course, is always a suprise.
Met announcers, as mentioned above, of Gary Cohen of the Mets announcing team, must have stated the “black bat” and Black cat reference 3 times in the ninth and then in closing when the game was over.
Want nothing more for “Z” and Harden shut them down. Jeez guys find something else to say. How about Marshall walking Castillo then having to face Wright, that was the play of the game.
Jon Kruk lashed out at Sean Marshall on Baseball Tonight.
His argument was that Marshall quit after Johan Santana hit the fluke single. I disagree because Marshall struck out the next batter. The fact that Marshall raised his arm in disbelief after Santana’s broken bat hit the ball in play doesn’t mean Marshall quit, whined or felt sorry for himself, but Kruk interpreted it that way.

VegasCubFan - September 23, 2008
Dear. God.
The Met’s announcers are comparing the black bat being hit with the ball with the black cat. Ridiculous.
slcathena - September 23, 2008
A bit of a reach, no?
carmen_fanzone - September 23, 2008
I am happy to have Pat
Madison Cub Fan - September 23, 2008

halfblindcubbiegirl - September 23, 2008
Nope.
zevkalman - September 23, 2008
No. It needs to die in the lab.
DeRoMyHero - September 23, 2008
the Hoff experiment

drewishdrewid - September 23, 2008
But look at his Minor League #'s!
Jayo525 - September 23, 2008
I wouldn't call it an experiment...
Called up when Fonzie was injured, hit .400
Sent back down after Fonzie back.
Called back up with expanded rosters.
carmen_fanzone - September 23, 2008
Time for Hoff's first HR

CubFaninNY - September 23, 2008
Oh, we Mets fans KNOW our bullpen is complete, complete, utter trash
schmifty - September 23, 2008

Uh oh Schimfty! you’re gonna lose your street cred with stuff like that!
halfblindcubbiegirl - September 23, 2008
LOL, I think I've always said I'm a Mets fan?
Or maybe I only talked about the A’s part….
schmifty - September 23, 2008
you've only said A's fan
I don’t know if I talk to anymore.
and you seemed so nice!! why did you have to go to the evil side?
halfblindcubbiegirl - September 23, 2008
Aww :( I'm sorry :(
My dad is from Flushing and eventually it rubbed off on me
schmifty - September 23, 2008
its okay
i’ll just think of you as an A’s fan & our Harden expert and overlook the evil part.
:-P
halfblindcubbiegirl - September 23, 2008
Okay, works for me :) Sorry :(
schmifty - September 23, 2008
I thought you were an A's fan?
zevkalman - September 23, 2008
Yeah that too! :)
schmifty - September 23, 2008
Sorry for the really stupid question -
I thought I caught a glimpse of Harden in the dugout, and he had a goatee. Did anyone else see that? Or was I looking at someone else?
schmifty - September 23, 2008
LOL
Schmifty with the Harden facial hair questions….
carmen_fanzone - September 23, 2008
Hehe :)
I figured if anyone might know, it’d be you guys :)
schmifty - September 23, 2008
(I’m just REALLY hoping I won’t have to see him in person with that stupid marmot on his face!!!)
schmifty - September 23, 2008
This is exactly what we needed to do
Make them sweat
nji232 - September 23, 2008
"Battling at bat"?
He took the bat off his shoulder once. Sheesh, Bob.
Clutch16 - September 23, 2008
Koyie Hill
halfblindcubbiegirl - September 23, 2008
Jeez we really DO want the Mets to win.
A Ram etc on bench but Hill gets to pinch hit ?
Doggie Stalker - September 23, 2008
I don't see anything like that on Stubhub
And the no way a potential Cubs/Mets game is at 1PM ( or so I think)
Doggie Stalker - September 23, 2008
StubHub Says
Game 1 is 1:00 Wednesday afternoon. I’m sorry if this has been posted before.
MerigoldBowling - September 23, 2008
WTF?
We get stuck with the day game? Guess it only makes sense. Wrigley during the day.
nji232 - September 23, 2008
Meh
Even the majority of the players say they prefer night games, but whachya gonna do?
Jayo525 - September 23, 2008
I don't think they don't assign TV slots until the matchups are set.
cowsarecool220 - September 23, 2008
If that report is true
Im shocked that TBS would put the Cubs on during the day. That slot screams Rays-White Sox or Brewers-Phillies
nji232 - September 23, 2008
exactly
I would think the powers that be would want Cubs in prime time if possible
Madison Cub Fan - September 23, 2008
I think the TV networks get a big say on the times. (If not all the say.)
cowsarecool220 - September 23, 2008
Here is the Link
http://www.stubhub.com/mlb-tickets/
MerigoldBowling - September 23, 2008
why would Stubhub know and not MLB?
carmen_fanzone - September 23, 2008
Well every player I've heard
(usually interviewed on ESPN 1000) have said they respect what day baseball means to the Cubs but ultimately the would prefer more night games Rest, obviously being the motivating factor.
Jayo525 - September 23, 2008
Does anyone know which is Koyie's better side of the plate?
DeRoMyHero - September 23, 2008
Behind it
Clutch16 - September 23, 2008
Left
cowsarecool220 - September 23, 2008
LOL
zevkalman - September 23, 2008
Reyes still standing on third???
…just a friendly reminder.
Let’s make ’em pay!
LAcarl519 - September 23, 2008
Nice swing, Daryl
carmen_fanzone - September 23, 2008
NOOOOO

But, what the hell – enjoy yourself
Clutch16 - September 23, 2008

QUICK QUESTION
So I’m looking at the Cubs schedule and noticed there was a picture of Darth Vader on Sept. 16. Anyone know what that was for??
jwate871 - September 23, 2008
I think it's just a stupid ad

halfblindcubbiegirl - September 23, 2008
He can't be any

sue369 - September 23, 2008
So do I
Just need to see it. If we have ace Big Z, we have a real fun October coming.
nji232 - September 23, 2008
I'm not really worried about Z
he’s had a week to get his head and heart back together. That’ll help.
halfblindcubbiegirl - September 23, 2008
Don't get used to it. Next week we will all feel totally different.
DeRoMyHero - September 23, 2008
a week from tomorrow
Madison Cub Fan - September 23, 2008

We have home field advantage clinched. All that’s left is to play with our food and decide which is going to be the salad dish or the main course. The dessert, of course, is always a suprise.

Chanman25 - September 23, 2008

Chanman25 - September 23, 2008

Shanghai Badger - September 23, 2008
I will add on
Met announcers, as mentioned above, of Gary Cohen of the Mets announcing team, must have stated the “black bat” and Black cat reference 3 times in the ninth and then in closing when the game was over.
Want nothing more for “Z” and Harden shut them down. Jeez guys find something else to say. How about Marshall walking Castillo then having to face Wright, that was the play of the game.

Fraggin Judge - September 24, 2008
wasn't he the one who said in 05 Randy Johnson would win 30 games?
so if I agree with Kruk: ah, no..
