Anyone...

…who lets their bangs hang out from under their cap, should not be allowed to play major league baseball.

LOL

But this guy actually did.

Ron Meredith?

Just guessing by the uniform its someone from the mid 80s

No right answers yet.
Wayne Nordhagen
Joe Stein
Who's Joe Stein?
Boy

he must really have been an obscure Cub. How about Joe Strange? Was that it?

Hey Wild Bill

Try Doug Strange.

I am not

sure but this guy looks like a Joe.

maybe

he meant Joe Strain?

Maybe.

But it’s not Strain.

OOPs

I was thinking of Bill Stein played for the Sox.

Or maybe

Ben Stein?

Buehler....Buehler
None of the above.
Bill Caudill?
He does look

like him though. A little heavier.

NO...it's Dan Briggs!!!!!!!
Where is he now?

Wow, he has a baseball academy?

Hope he teaches people NOT to do what he did.

He's kinda got a Rex-Grossman thing going on there...

all he needs is a clipboard and he’s all set!

damn!

beat me to it!

Peavy

while at O’Hare

Looks like a bat boy
Could it be just a hand puppet?
I know the season

is over, Steve Christmas

Mike Griffin
I take that back.

How about Butch Benton? He played 4 games for the Cubs in 1982.

Wow, a lot of you made some REAL obscure guesses.

But still, no one has gotten it.

I would like to buy a vowel

Any hints, Al?

See below. We have a winner!
Paul Popovich
Jim Kremmel

I am thinking early 70’s

Jon Perlman
DINGDINGDING!!!

We have a winner.

Jon Perlman was the Cubs’ #1 draft pick in 1979, another in a series of failed #1 picks by the Wrigley ownership.

He spent six years in the minors and pitched in six games in 1985, all badly.

Another gem that never realized his true potential.
I presume you are using the word "gem" with a large dose of sarcasm.
I don't mean to put puns in WMHG's mouth but...

“Jon Perlman”… …“gem”

Jerry Tabb

First baseman in ’76 and came in a 12 oz can

Ding ding ding

we have a winner. Low cals, high taste

LOL

Just to make it clear, the photo isn’t Jerry Tabb.

Al

go to bed. You are an early bird like myself, time to go off to LA LA land, Sleep tight

LOL

Soon.

In the words

of Rodney Dangerfield, " I don’t go to sleep, I pass out". Kidding of course. Side note, Al a sincere thank you for this site. You do a wonderful job. It shows for all the hard work you put into it.

Thanks.

Much appreciated.

No it is I

who appreciate this. Like yourself I have lived through the ’69 season. I have lived though ’03 and ’07 & ’08 seaons. My pain for being a Cubs fan will be with be until my last breath.

After this last season, I tuned out the Cubs for a few months. Because once again it just hurt so bad. But you and many others continue to discuss and talk about our Cubs when I could not,

I applaud you and many others on this site who steadfestly continue on a daily basis to report and continue to talk about our Cubbies (okay I said it)

And remember go Cubbies!

high

taste when you mix it with some rum

Tim

you are late up tonight, are you not?
