…he should just put himself out there as a starter. It seems like some smaller market team that needs to fill out its rotation would give him a shot. Maybe even a bigger market team – I mean, the Yankees had Chad Gaudin starting this year.
This is NOT the 2010 Spring Training Schedule, it is simply the 2009 schedule transposed on to a 2010 calendar. The 2010 schedule has not been announced yet, and won’t be until well after the playoffs.
Please don’t make any travel plans based on this bogus schedule.

TJ11 - October 4, 2009
Koyie doubles to center.
Can’t believe the ump called him safe.
daver - October 4, 2009
You know what? He was safe.
chilango2 - October 4, 2009
Yeah, the tag looked late.
daver - October 4, 2009
Sheesh, I can't believe Hill was called safe...
chilango2 - October 4, 2009

LAcarl519 - October 4, 2009
Captain Obvious says, "I'd love another run here!"
daver - October 4, 2009
Anybody think Fuld
has earned a shot at the starting CF job? I would be alright with starting the season with him and make an upgrade during the season if its needed
bheidge - October 4, 2009
Nope. Not at all.
chilango2 - October 4, 2009
Re-sign RJ - platoon them in CF.
daver - October 4, 2009
The defense would be good
They would get tired having to go get all of the plays sori should be making
TJ11 - October 4, 2009
OT: Detroit 24 - Bears 48 Final
eths - October 4, 2009
Hey, congrats to Bears.
daver - October 4, 2009
Good for Hill
He has done a nice job this year. I hope he got a nice hand from the crowd.

Last day, let Blanco play

cubnational - October 4, 2009

jesus christos - October 4, 2009
I think if Heilman really wants to start...
…he should just put himself out there as a starter. It seems like some smaller market team that needs to fill out its rotation would give him a shot. Maybe even a bigger market team – I mean, the Yankees had Chad Gaudin starting this year.
daver - October 4, 2009
Wang didn't give them much choice there...
Clutch16 - October 4, 2009
NTM that Gaudin started in Oakland when Harden was hurt
Clutch16 - October 4, 2009
Yeah, but still...
…look at the rotation the Astros threw out there this year…or the Brewers. I bet he could find work somewhere.
daver - October 4, 2009
Been saying this very same thing since Spring Training...
chilango2 - October 4, 2009
Where's Miles?
Maybe he can get in so the fans can show their “appreciation” for his fine work this year…..
TJ11 - October 4, 2009
Heilman Ks first two batters - 15 Ks total for Cubs staff so far.

daver - October 4, 2009
If I make it to Wrigley next year
I may have to get that printed at poster size and see if I can get him to sign it
Clutch16 - October 4, 2009
That'd be awesome.
daver - October 4, 2009
last time!
cubnational - October 4, 2009
Camera crew has gone on vacation early
LT - October 4, 2009

for the Cubs Fans In Recovery
cubnational - October 4, 2009
That wasn't fair. Hill is too good defensively.
chilango2 - October 4, 2009
Oh, right. It's Hill.
Nevermind.
daver - October 4, 2009
LOL - Parra caught stealing to end Top 9.

Cubbiegoon - October 4, 2009

I have especially enjoyed my chats with Not Bruce and Drew.
I am sure the lively debates will continue in the offseason.
I hope Hendry makes it a good one!
TJ11 - October 4, 2009
Have a nice off season everyone
Greggle - October 4, 2009
til later... like 2010 April....
even though i live in MN, the season is over today….even if the Twinkies made it to the WSeries, the season would still be over for me today……
MinnesotaFan - October 4, 2009
Have a good winter everyone. We'll talk from time to time in the coming months.
On to “2010- The Year of the Cubs”. (movie premiering in 2011)
Zeke - October 4, 2009
Bring on the winter meetings
LT - October 4, 2009
Have pitchers and catchers reported yet?
Ron Trauma - October 4, 2009
Have a great rest o' Sunday, all.
It’s been a frustrating season, but an interesting one, too. Glad I could be here for last game.

Amen - Take care

Pitchers and catcher report in only 4 months and 3 weeks!
GO CUBBIES! We’ll keep holding on!
cubnational - October 4, 2009
As Rogers Hornsby said,
I will be waiting until Spring.
eswan9 - October 4, 2009

WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR!
Pitchers and catcher report in only 4 months and 3 weeks!
GO CUBBIES! We’ll keep holding on!
cubnational - October 4, 2009
Oh, and one last time...
daver - October 4, 2009
shifafaontheside - October 4, 2009
The silver lining
is that the rest of our division is still garbage.
We only have to deal with St. Louis realistically. That 83 wins is good enough for second place by almost four games is pretty telling.
Go get ’em in 2010!
Goodie1969 - October 4, 2009
Thanks, all
for helping to make my baseball season more fun.
Even you “morons” out there are, for the most part, OK. We all share the same goal.
I’ll be in and out (so to speak) during the offseason. You all have a great time off, including the holidays.
And let’s hope 2010 brings … you know what.
See ya later.
Not Bruce Froemming - October 4, 2009
