My computer hard drive totally crashed, and I paid over $150 to retrieve the data on it…mostly because part of that “data” was the video of Z’s no-no. Gotta have that.
They said the hard drive was working enough that they could transfer the files I wanted to an external HD. It was more expensive than I was hoping, but in addition to the no hitter, I also had a ton of music and pictures of my son…
for a ph; but as far as i can see; aaron has had put in another productive performance. perhaps some of the naysayers would be willing to retract their statements at this point. or no?
The Cubs’ Prayer
Our team which plays in Wrigley,
Hallowed be thy field.
Thy Cubdom.com
Thy games be won on the road
as it is in Wrigley.
Give us this day our daily win.
And limit our losses,
as we inflict them on others.
And lead us not into errors
but deliver us from our defensive woes:
for thine is the hitting
and the pitching, and the fielding, for ever.
Amen!
had the go ahead run in the top of the 8th, but beltran doesn’t slide and is tagged out. ridiculous play. mets fans have to be pissed. then first pitch in the bottom of he 8th brendan ryan hits a line drive rope right at the left fielder, who promptly falls on his ass and plays it into a triple. yikes.
Consider that today is the first of 20 games in 20 days — the longest such stretch of the season. Lou says practically every other day that he needs to use Marmol less, and then he uses him with a 5-run lead — totally ridiculous.
If you don’t trust anybody else in the bullpen, why do you have a bullpen?

heine41 - April 21, 2009
And thats why you pitch Marmol after 2 off days
with a big lead.
halfblindcubbiegirl - April 21, 2009
I think it's a bit over-exaggerated.
I’d rather he get the day off.
Schwa - April 21, 2009
He just had 2
halfblindcubbiegirl - April 21, 2009
You must not
remember last season when he had more than a few days off. He was awful.
sue369 - April 21, 2009
I remember it very well.
I just don’t like using him in a 5 run game in the first game of a 20 games in 20 days stretch.
Schwa - April 21, 2009
He'll be fine
sue369 - April 21, 2009
and that's why Cotts still has a decent ERA
because the next guy has been getting out of jams he starts

Cubbie-Tim - April 21, 2009

he goes to the team that wins the WS?
halfblindcubbiegirl - April 21, 2009
We have to let him go... and re-sign him
SackMan - April 21, 2009
I'll take my chances
Clutche - April 21, 2009
that's why we should just send him to Iowa
they need a AAA Championship
BoVandy - April 21, 2009
He's got more than 3 years big league exp
he’d have to clear waivers to go to AAA, wouldn’t he?
halfblindcubbiegirl - April 21, 2009
I don't think there are a lot of teams clamoring for a lefty specialist
who can’t get lefties out, and walks everyone in sight. At least Eyre was a grizzly veteran
BoVandy - April 21, 2009
So he remains with the Cubs and we win the W.S.

Chris Dobbertean - April 21, 2009

bclark89 - April 21, 2009
The Cubs won
the Mets lost.
I’ll take that for a day.
halfblindcubbiegirl - April 21, 2009
that would be a tie
and give Bud more genius ideas, like the winner of the Mets Cardinals series gets home field for their division in the post season
Cubbie-Tim - April 21, 2009
That would be an...
