Pitching has been pretty decent especially the starting pitching. Hitting died a few games ago. This is not the worst thing.
Hitters wake up, bad pitching is forever.
April (he keeps saying to himself) its still April (tries to convince)…its still April (stomach knot)…its still April …its still April …its still April…(Pujols)
Walks have been the bane of our bullpen the last 2 years. I’ve said it before, they try to paint the corners, fail to do so, and try again (only to fail again). Aggravating.
You can't script this crappy stuff better can you?
I hope something changes about this team soon……we are showing every weakness today on national TV…….and there are enough to make me doubt a little……this is not gonna be an easy season….not at all…..
Both are doing very well this season Wuertz was so so but so so looks good now, Eyre was excellent then he slumped and ended up in the dog house while Howry continued to give up gopher balls. Lou is dreadful at managing pitchers, some times he lucks out
and it sort of takes care of itself but this year it is blowing up. We released a guy who was given no chance and still never gave up a run and got to eat 4 million. The only lefty we have can’t throw a strike over the plate.
Does anyone get the feeling that based on the successes of last year, that this year wouldn’t be as good, but close, and now we’re all just a bunch of suckers? I was going to do a Fanpost on this, but I was curious to see what some of you thought.
I bet they're wondering why Patton didn't hit Ludwick
Would’ve been a great example of life imitating art:
Pepper Leach: [Vaughn has just given up a grand slam after walking three straight batters] You want me to go get him?
Lou Brown: No, keep him in. Let’s see how he reacts.
Lou Brown: [Vaughn hits the next batter] Interesting.
There is nothing that a HOT/COLD LF, an achy 3B, and a singles hitting SS and CF can do to help this crap. They look deflated, and until one of the guys who are scrambling for hits, starts to hit, nothing will change.
You know, I found a Reese’s peanut butter bunny before Easter, and I really wanted to get to see if it was like a gigantic peanut butter cup. I passed up on it, and never found it again.
I am not ledge jumping I am simply asking a question. (OK NBF?)
If the Cubs are .500 or less at the break, would the Cubs take the ax to Lou? Would it matter where we were in the pennant race, or with 140 million spent, would it matter?
who's coming in to pitch?
MJMars - April 25, 2009
Patton.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
is he bringing his tanks?
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
Patton to pitch
SouthernCub - April 25, 2009
And now Cubbie bullpen in to squelch any chance or our rally
razzpunk - April 25, 2009
You called it.
Congrats. Al, tell him what he’s won.
muehlman - April 25, 2009
Barden basehit to center...his 3rd hit of the game and 8 for 12 against the Cubs this year.
Ankiel in to PH.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Theriot stays in the game
muehlman - April 25, 2009
Ankiel
really needs to get rid of the ’stache
MJMars - April 25, 2009
Looking bad for the good guys today...
Gonna need to get the bats going real soon.
SouthernCub - April 25, 2009
Isn't this
Fun?
wrigleyrocker12 - April 25, 2009
Brian Barden continues to kick our ass
lexmarklover - April 25, 2009
thank god theriot stays in
Just wait until Soriano plays second base – this defense might actually get worse
duboisdm - April 25, 2009
you think?
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
it's a stetch
I know
duboisdm - April 25, 2009
especially since we'll have to put Hoff in Left
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
Any chance we could talk the Cards into spotting us a few runs tomorrow
…just to make it interesting?
bluekoolaide - April 25, 2009
yeah..let's start the game...3-0 cubs
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
We keep it close and then bam
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
wouldn't it be cool if the Cardinals
had a batter named Rommel?
Patton vs Rommel…get it?
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
"Aaahhh Rommel... you magnificent bastard"
JB 23 - April 25, 2009
NICE!!
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
Great movie.....
JB 23 - April 25, 2009
is it wrong that we can find talking about Patton (the movie)
more interesting than this Cubs game?
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
The Cubs are playing?
sue369 - April 25, 2009
I'd love to see Lou slap somebody with some batting gloves...
ballhawk - April 25, 2009
wow
97 on the gun
MJMars - April 25, 2009
Patton do not throw this guy a fastball
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
Patton walks Ankiel
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Patton facing Ryan with 2 on and nobody out.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
ummmmm shoot!!!!!!!!!!!!
lexmarklover - April 25, 2009
SAC BUNT coming
from the most fundamental baseball team in baseball
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Fundamentals must not include good defense....
….a well executed Sac though..
JB 23 - April 25, 2009
patton can't find the K zone..now..wow
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
All his pitching experience in AAA should have....oh wait.
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
yeah..like all other's MLB experience has been so far..oh wait..
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Ryan sac bunt moves the runners up.
1 out.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
now that's how you execute a sac bunt
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
we should celebrate
the fact the Cubs got an out
duboisdm - April 25, 2009
I guess now that the Cubs have seen it done...
they’ll be able to do it now?
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
you can say it loud
there had been no “mentals” in our fundamentals so far this season..this is inexcusable..
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
This slump is saying a lot about our pitching.
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
Huh ?
Pitching has been pretty decent especially the starting pitching. Hitting died a few games ago. This is not the worst thing.
Hitters wake up, bad pitching is forever.
Doggie Stalker - April 25, 2009
Kerry Wood
Can someone tell me why we didn’t sign Kerry? I thought he had a pretty good year in 2008. I don’t think he was hurt, was he?
Saratoga - April 25, 2009
Who?
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Go away
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
Ummm
Big money.
wrigleyrocker12 - April 25, 2009
Hendry wanted to give him the opportunity to earn more money
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
Did I just take a time warp back 3 months.
Maybe now I can pay my taxes on time.
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
UGHHHH
because he wanted 10 mill a year. That’s too much for an injury ridden player
gizmo6d9 - April 25, 2009
10 million reasons per year
JB 23 - April 25, 2009
I love the quick responses to that
nice work guys
gizmo6d9 - April 25, 2009
Wow.
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
he was more than pretty good
Must have been worried about the cost. Wasnt hurt. Pitching great for Cleveland. But, hey! We have Gregg!
MJMars - April 25, 2009
And everybody here
wanted to get rid of Wood after the first three weeks.
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
You know for a fact I didn't, NBF
so I guess your version of “everybody” means most, right? lol
BigJohnAZ - April 25, 2009
He was NOT worth $10 mill especially with the injuries.
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdgCajndgNw
wrigleyrocker12 - April 25, 2009
good song
MJMars - April 25, 2009
Do you really think Lou and Hendry were really satisfied that they had improved this team?
razzpunk - April 25, 2009
Didn't Lou say that this was the team he wanted...
because it gave him more versatility?
bluekoolaide - April 25, 2009
of course they are
Miles is crushing the ball
Gameboard is playing everyday..
SOLID!!!
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
We might be witnessing the preamble to the "Ryne Sandberg era"
bluekoolaide - April 25, 2009
I wish Ricketts is _not_ whenever he comes on board and I can hope it's sooner than later
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Bullpen suckage! Gots to love it!
razzpunk - April 25, 2009
Take him out Lou
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
no way...leave that piss and in....take your medicine.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
There's your medicine.....
GS
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
yep. I hope Patton enjoyed that.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
just like a spoon full of sugar....
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
Welcome to the show David...
JB 23 - April 25, 2009
Patton walk another one...bases loaded for Pujols.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Let's walk Rasmus!!!
YEAH!!!!!
wrigleyrocker12 - April 25, 2009
enough of patton he needs to be sent down
lexmarklover - April 25, 2009
bring up Omar Bradley
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
PAtton?
Can we just send two thirds of the team with him???
The E-Man - April 25, 2009
The nibbling isn't working Patton! And now you must look into the eyes of the beast...
Oh wait that would be Brian Barden against us apparently!
razzpunk - April 25, 2009
Remember - its still
April (he keeps saying to himself) its still April (tries to convince)…its still April (stomach knot)…its still April …its still April …its still April…(Pujols)
OMG!!!
Its STILL APRIL!
The E-Man - April 25, 2009

exactly what was going through my brain
MJMars - April 25, 2009
no pressure patton....
get him out
KC in OK - April 25, 2009
Loading them up for Pujols
Spectacular. Sets up one of the 6 this guy will hit into all year.
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Pujols Grand Slam.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009

cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009

carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009

sue369 - April 25, 2009
Must be serious...
Sue rarely cusses!
The E-Man - April 25, 2009
you just
haven’t been around much.
sue369 - April 25, 2009
and a grand slam. I'm shocked.
Emelie - April 25, 2009
Monster Blast..Damn
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Another GIGANTIC kick to the nads.....
razzpunk - April 25, 2009
That is going to make things difficult
SouthernCub - April 25, 2009
no way, our offense is going to coma alive
spelling error on purpose!
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
our offense is going to coma, alright
Emelie - April 25, 2009
wow. there are no words...
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
Back to the NFL draft
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
LOL!
Bears don’t even have one til tomorrow. HAHAHA!
Open a beer – or have a nice glass of wine
The E-Man - April 25, 2009
I'm not a Bears fan...lol
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
Wow.
This is what a wasted afternoon feels like.
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Cant take anymore of this. Time for a drink!
brianf7408 - April 25, 2009
Patton has SO much upside
I hope Gaudin leads the Pads to the world series.
wrigleyrocker12 - April 25, 2009
Gaudin couldn't get anybody out
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
I agree
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Anyway...how long till the Bears go to camp?
bluekoolaide - April 25, 2009
Geez
Has the ball even landed yet? that was a bomb
ambrosiadreams - April 25, 2009
what the hell
david patton will be sent down tomorrow. and lou will explode later today
lexmarklover - April 25, 2009
can't be sent down...
but I don’t doubt he’ll be sent back to Colorado soon
SouthernCub - April 25, 2009
Patton
cannot be sent down due to Rule 5. Lou will explode though!
ambrosiadreams - April 25, 2009
OMFG
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
I don't know about you all..but I am not saddened with that GS
The way we have been swinging our bats..it just doesn’t matter
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
First pitch fastballs over the heart of the plate are like lunch to him
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
home runs happen
walks will kill you
MJMars - April 25, 2009
agreed
Walks have been the bane of our bullpen the last 2 years. I’ve said it before, they try to paint the corners, fail to do so, and try again (only to fail again). Aggravating.
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
and scoring 1 run is not going help you win many ball games
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
except for last night.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
glad I just got home to hear the Poo-holes at bat...ugh.
…it’s only a game (to the team in first).
Go Blackhawks!!
LAcarl519 - April 25, 2009
what time are they playing tonight?
MJMars - April 25, 2009
Poo-holes should stick poo in his hole
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
wow, that's original
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
that's clever and original
Emelie - April 25, 2009
How's 6th grade going this year?
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
You can't script this crappy stuff better can you?
I hope something changes about this team soon……we are showing every weakness today on national TV…….and there are enough to make me doubt a little……this is not gonna be an easy season….not at all…..
razzpunk - April 25, 2009
with MLB blackout it's a far cry from "national" tv
Emelie - April 25, 2009
True....glad some of you don't have to witness this....
razzpunk - April 25, 2009
Where are Wuertz and Eyre when we need them
Doggie Stalker - April 25, 2009
You're joking, right?
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
Wuertz was good
Eyre, not as much
MJMars - April 25, 2009
Wuertz, the master
of the 55-foot curve ball? Everybody here hated him. Y’all got your wish.
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
Thank you
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Not everyone here hated him...
but he did have his share of haters.
Dude was okay. Not great, not terrible.
SouthernCub - April 25, 2009
I'd agree with that
Not awful, not great. But a lot of people wanted him shipped out, too.
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
Agreed
SouthernCub - April 25, 2009
Nope

You're right Sue
I should have gone back to sleep
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
yep
sue369 - April 25, 2009
I think Ron
is actually wishing he was a Cardinal fan right now
duboisdm - April 25, 2009
Fuck you
Jim Hendry!
The E-Man - April 25, 2009
woah easy man
i agree fuck you hendry
lexmarklover - April 25, 2009
Jim Hendry didn't get picked off first.
…the GS was given up to the best hitter in the game.
we are under-manned right now. no reason for f-bombs. it is only a game.
LAcarl519 - April 25, 2009
This
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Dont be testy now
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
Come on.
We have exactly 3 players who are hitting the ball. 3.
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
+1
Does anyone get the feeling that based on the successes of last year, that this year wouldn’t be as good, but close, and now we’re all just a bunch of suckers? I was going to do a Fanpost on this, but I was curious to see what some of you thought.
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
So thats how you get 4 runs with 2 hits.
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Hopefully we bounce back tomorrow...
and salvage a game in this series. I don’t have high hopes for the rest of today’s game.
SouthernCub - April 25, 2009
with this lineup I don't have a hope for salvation
Loosing Ramirez and Bradley at the same time and not having bonafide backups?
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Well
Bye.
wrigleyrocker12 - April 25, 2009
the only acceptable type of ledgejumper..
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
Heh...I'd actally follow her right now.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
what do you think the guys on the field think
watching Patton suck so bad, then serve up a grand salami?
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
I wish this
was still 2008
duboisdm - April 25, 2009
They think......
Thats what you are supposed to do when the bases are loaded?
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
considering that can't score any freakin runs, they have no reason to bitch
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
good point
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
what did patton think watch all the so called superstars combine to hit 1 run in 7 innings against freackin boggs
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
I bet they're wondering why Patton didn't hit Ludwick
Would’ve been a great example of life imitating art:
ballhawk - April 25, 2009
Molina grounds out to end the fun.
7-1 cards.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
I'm getting ready to leave for the UC, watching the game
and what was that BP pitch thrown to Albert? Wow…!
Guess that’s one way to get the kid to learn. Yikes!
Have fun on the thread everyone, I’m going to see the BLACKHAWKS !
blackhawk24 - April 25, 2009
Hope they
win tonight.
sue369 - April 25, 2009
dinner will taste extra good this evening
horace tarbox - April 25, 2009
I'm happy for you.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
so will mine
sue369 - April 25, 2009
There is no way the Cards will stay this hot all year and probably...
we won’t be this bad all year either….just trying to remember that…..
razzpunk - April 25, 2009
that's true..but like someone said with this roster we are accepting a very very high risk..
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Watch this.
Leadoff, no one on…….
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
surprised they didn't throw
3 sliders in the dirt, it would be an easy out.
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
Same shit different at bat
He will lead off once again
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
tomorrow!!!
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
its only a day away
MJMars - April 25, 2009
nl central race will be over by may 15
horace tarbox - April 25, 2009
You are a nut job
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Care to make a wager on that?
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
nothing's over until the cubs say it's over
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
+1
sue369 - April 25, 2009
A brain stem checks in
Right on cue.
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
heh. and absolutely true.
Emelie - April 25, 2009
come back to talk about this on sep 15..we will see..
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
I'm gonna assume D-Lee is going to K, flyout, or groundout
lexmarklover - April 25, 2009
flyout!
KC in OK - April 25, 2009
what a freaking shock
lexmarklover - April 25, 2009
wrong
popout
MJMars - April 25, 2009
yes
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Lee pops up.
2 out.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
another weak popup by DPLee
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
no surprise there.
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
We seem to be in playoff form right now.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Ha
I like that.
kofspades - April 25, 2009
This is good
So we should REALLY be kicking ass by the end of the season, right?
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
hee! sob.
Emelie - April 25, 2009
I see what
you did there.
sue369 - April 25, 2009
what inning are we in?
Emelie - April 25, 2009
Top 8th
cubs ftw - April 25, 2009
thanks
Emelie - April 25, 2009
I don't even care right now...
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
The one where the pain continues
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
wise guys ;-)
Emelie - April 25, 2009
no, wise men.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
With how bad my head hurts
I have to try to stay humorous. It’s the only thing that helps. That and a sleeve of crackers.
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
top 8th
KC in OK - April 25, 2009
does it matter?
8th
MJMars - April 25, 2009
Fonty singles.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
the only guys that decided to show up today were Fukudome and Marshall
the rest could have stayed at their hotel
lexmarklover - April 25, 2009
reid and fonty have been solid, too
smash! - April 25, 2009
I wish they had...
a forfeit would have been less painful
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
At this point
This is where I hit pause, and then sim the rest, because I can’t stand to play through a losing effort.
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
yeah fonty's having a nice game
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
Putting Soriano in the #3 spot was a mistake..
He was hitting well and was reasonably patient for his standards and then Lou messes with the lead off spot.
Moving Lee down was the right move. Hell, give Lee some rest and put Hoff at 1B. Lee is clueless right now.
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Soriano needs to go back
to the leadoff spot.
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
totally agree
the sooner the better
sue369 - April 25, 2009
He led off the last inning.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
LOL
Indeed. But every time he moves out of leadoff, it doesn’t work out. Why mess with success?
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
Completely agree.
And of all places to put that guy, 3 is not it. 5, 6, but not 3 or 4
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Johnson Kaye's
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
now there's talent...but could he lay off a slider?
LAcarl519 - April 25, 2009
TWSS
Emelie - April 25, 2009
If Patton is DFA'd
who do they bring up?
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009
Ascanio?
Hart?
MJMars - April 25, 2009
anybody but Hart
HE SUCKS (refer to my many postings over last summer regarding how much I have negative ambivalence towards him)
VegasCubFan - April 25, 2009

carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009

perhaps Hart, Ascanio, or Waddell
SouthernCub - April 25, 2009
He's not going anywhere..
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
i think you're right
and he shouldn’t. Cotts needs to go first
MJMars - April 25, 2009
Patton's going to be the mop up guy all year...
..not sure what he was doing in there today.
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
creating his own mop up.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Well, yeah...lol
He wanted to make sure he pitched another inning…
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
+1..I like Patton
The anorexic offense is putting too much pressure on our pitching and more so on a rookie pitcher. Patton is no Mo but he is no 2008 Howry either..
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Pat Hughes
“offense is absolutely flatter than a pancake”
muehlman - April 25, 2009
This down time will be good for Aramis
He’ll have time to bate
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
Hmmm
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
Will the post game presser be on gameday audio?
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
it will all get bleeped either way
LAcarl519 - April 25, 2009
I don't think so... could be wrong
Emelie - April 25, 2009
Patton still in to pitch the bottom of the 8th
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Our C, 1B, RF, 2B cannot hit their weight
There is nothing that a HOT/COLD LF, an achy 3B, and a singles hitting SS and CF can do to help this crap. They look deflated, and until one of the guys who are scrambling for hits, starts to hit, nothing will change.
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
alright
i’m done with this game. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday everybody
MJMars - April 25, 2009
you're not the boss of me.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
bye
sue369 - April 25, 2009
Duncan K's swinging.
1 out.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Imagine.
If Bradley and Ramirez were in the lineup, and on their “A” game. (And we had Derosa)
Cubbiegoon - April 25, 2009
None of those things are happening for a while.
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Yeah
Imagine if I had a million dollars, that would be so rad. It would be like owning a Power Glove.
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
Imagine a world of never ending happiness...you could always see the sun...day or night...
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
and Soriano hadn't swung at 3 straight balls, and caught Greene's flyball, and hit the cutoff man....
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
No ... more ... DeRosa ... please ...
Make … it … stop …
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
+1 and no more Wood also pleaseee
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
TWSS
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009

santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Theriot with another useless dive...WTF.
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009

sue369 - April 25, 2009
scrappy with a bum ankle now...
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
so is he super scrappy now?
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Diving...it's what he does.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
just like he gets caught stealing...
Emelie - April 25, 2009
Patton now overthrowing his breaking pitches
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Patton walks another.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
How many hits on 0 - 2 counts do the Cards have today?
Greene’s double was 0-2, Bardens 2 RBI hit was 0 – 2
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Illinois' Vontae Davis to the Dolphins...
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
No wonder Geo and Lee have been uptight at the plate
They haven’t been bating lately.
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
Oh, hey, you know what's awesome?
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009

sue369 - April 25, 2009
Skittles
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
Reeces Pieces even better
sue369 - April 25, 2009
This is true
You know, I found a Reese’s peanut butter bunny before Easter, and I really wanted to get to see if it was like a gigantic peanut butter cup. I passed up on it, and never found it again.
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
I bet it
would have been.
sue369 - April 25, 2009
You should never pass up opportunities like that in life.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
This.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
or that
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009

KC in OK - April 25, 2009
Mmmmm....pass the jelly
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
0-2 on Thurston and he singles to right.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
and yet another run for the cards
Emelie - April 25, 2009
I don't think the Cubs have scored 8
runs this year in a game. Maybe at Milw.?
The E-Man - April 25, 2009
maybe on the club house XBox/PS3/PSP
cubsnlinux - April 25, 2009
Neal Cotts warming up.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
Oh, this should be good.....

The E-Man - April 25, 2009
Ryan out 1-3
2 out.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
That is another 0 -2 hit, run scoring hit.
Fascinating.
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
Pat is comparing this game to eating a really sour peanut.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
That's the worst
Almost as bad as a bad pistaccio
Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009
pat and ron
talking about eating peanuts
KC in OK - April 25, 2009
not much else to talk about...dangit
Emelie - April 25, 2009
The cubs have been sucking nuts as of late too
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
Cotts walks the first batter on 4 pitches. Bases loaded
muehlman - April 25, 2009
stop making stuff up.
santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
I sit corrected
muehlman - April 25, 2009
I am not ledge jumping I am simply asking a question. (OK NBF?)
If the Cubs are .500 or less at the break, would the Cubs take the ax to Lou? Would it matter where we were in the pennant race, or with 140 million spent, would it matter?
louslovechild - April 25, 2009
No chance at all
muehlman - April 25, 2009
Not if it has to due with injuries...or players having down years...
carmen_fanzone - April 25, 2009
No.
slcathena - April 25, 2009
You're no ledge-jumper, LLC
And the answer is no. No way Lou gets fired, probably ever.
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
Neal Cotts throws one pitch and get a flyball to center.

santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009

santoswoodenlegs - April 25, 2009
No wonder Lee and Geo have been struggling
They are nor mastabating lately if you know you what I mean
honeymunchkin666 - April 25, 2009
patton is prime example why you don't keep a player simply based on spring training
DC Cubbie - April 25, 2009
I don't have a hat on

Craig in South Bend - April 25, 2009

Emelie - April 25, 2009

Emelie - April 25, 2009

KC in OK - April 25, 2009
As seeing as the Cubs are going to lose today.
So far this year 8-8. Last year 11-5. After 16 games of course.
Cubbiegoon - April 25, 2009
yep it happens
sue369 - April 25, 2009
So this means ...
What? Granted, I’d rather be 11-5, but …
How many of those games were against the Pirates?
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009
Actually, they were 10-6
with four games against the Pirates.
Not Bruce Froemming - April 25, 2009

LAcarl519 - April 25, 2009

EJThunder - April 25, 2009
