We could be Tribe fans. One of the most excruciating losses of the year for the Tribe and they’ve had a whole lot of those.
I’d guess Eric Wedge is going to be fired very soon, maybe within days. SOMEONE is definitely going to be fired and Wedge has refused to fire any of his coaches and said if anyone gets fired, it should be him. It seems very likely that’s exactly what’s going to happen after the brutal season the Indians are having this year.
Miles returns home to StL, perhaps it sparks something. It didnt and he probably wont play the rest of the series. Lee is hitting and so Hoff will only find time in RF, if at all this series. Scales needs to play, and I am fairly certain that Lou and everyone on his bench and in here knows that. He will be in the game tomorrow, but my worry is that Carpenter and Ankiel will be too. This was the worst game I have ever seen since 2006, and that is saying a lot. I think the 4 pitch inning is what pushed it over the top.
of course Lou has reasons for everything that he does
we all have reasons for everything we do. Doesn’t mean they’re good reasons. I guess I understand starting Miles thinking he knows Pineiro and whatnot, but why let him lead off the ninth? Why not pinch hit there?
Freel hasnt done crap yet, Miles already had 2 looks at Pineiro, and no one was probably going to hit him tonight anyway. TIp your cap to Pineiro, I guess, but some patience from Cubs hitters tonight would have been nice. No matter how we hash it out, Pineiro faced 1 over the minimum, and that isnt just bad hitting, thats pretty amazing pitching. Carpenter going tomorrow isnt going to be easy either, but at least its only 5 or so innings of him. He is just off the DL, and even TLR wouldnt dumb enough to push him.
I had to try and defend him against the STL douchebags last night during that shitty performance, and now he pulls some seriously lame crap on the double play. What the hell was Hendry thinking with this guy? He’s awful….

Not so fast.
Well, it appears to have been quite the “mail it in” performance from the Cubs tonight. Glad I didn’t pay to watch it.

God what an awful game.
Joel freaking Piniero shuts us out? Ouch.

All off Wood in the 9th
louslovechild - May 19, 2009
Wood less than impressive since moving to the AL

And WTF is up with Miles continuing to start?
Scales is hitting, ride his hot streak while you can. Even Freel is a better option than Aaron Miles.

In Lou's mind, I am guessing,

What a friggin disgusting performance.
You get CG shutout by Pineiro? Seriously?
Did you watch the at bats we took against this guy? Pathetic. 1 pitch, ground out…. 2 pitches, pop up, etc, etc. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
