missed two calls. one in the first inning calling kosuke out at second on force play.
len called it worst call he has ever seen. than when we were on field on a routine double play ball he ruled theriots foot came off the bag when it was very very close – so we only got the runner at first. You couldn’t even tell if his foot was off the bag or not on replay.
he can only upgrade at one spot in the middle infield because he has saddled himself with some of the worst contracts in the game. If he hadnt, guys like Nate McLouth could have been available to him.
The question is two players who had 100 hits in the 1980’s. Both Sheffield and Griffey came up in the 1980s and both did have at least 100 hits in that decade.
I was a fan of the Oakland Raiders, but renounced them for as long as Al Davis stays in charge. And as he is the prince of darkness, he will be there forever.
I didn’t. And what nothing else do I have? We’re in the hunt, while not playing to potential. We’ll play better. I believe. I don’t need anything else.
and maybe I shouldnt have but I thought it was worth mentioning.
How bout this, from here on out, none of us, including me, will criticize another’s post for being inane, stupid, annoying or what have you. Just ignore it if you dont like it.
A lot of people are in hard times right now. So the Cubs are 41-41 right now. If they finish at .500 this year, there’s always next year. There’s more to life than baseball.
well, a day off tomorrow, which sucks, but lets them rest. Hopefully Soto isn’t as big a deal as it could be, and we get Demp back soon. Big series starts on Friday!
yes. I can blame him for doing it when everyone else on the planet knew he shouldn't
same with Bradley. At this point in the season, perhaps you stop telling Bradley to bat left handed, at least for a while. There have been other switch hitters who stopped switch hitting mid season because they were struggling so badly from one side of the plate
Explain the magical inconsistency of this team to hit well and then suddenly stop hitting. If they were in the cellar of the division, that would be one thing. This is totally different.
Lots of soybean farms around here… or there used to be. Lots of farmers have sold off the old lands to developers…. who can’t read a survery report. The natural drainage has been screwed up.
this team is gonna bust out. Everybody keeps saying it, but Bradley/ Soriano will start to hit, Theriot will start to see that hitting HRs every ab isn’t successful. I’ts gonna happen, hopefully sooner than later. Once the Cubs get Soto and Dempster back, the arrow will start to point up. If Hendry could get a bat or two, this is a legit WS team.
Means absolutely nothing. I see a bunch of overpaid players underperforming.
The way I see it, last year darn near everything went right (in the regular season). Every position player had good years (Lee, Soriano, Theriot), great years (Ramirez, DeRosa) and unbelieveable perhaps once a career year (Soto). Plus, the pitching was good (Marquis, Wood, Marshall), great (Lilly, Zambrano), and unbelieve career years (Harden, Dempster)
This year, for whatever reason, most players are playing below or well, well below their career norms (Harden, Soto, Bradley, Soriano)
This team is a .500 team, which to me is frustrating beyond words. It’s just so annoying because I want them to win so badly, that it ruins my days seeing this crap on the field.
This team is like a virus, you get sucked into them, and try as you might to not care about them, you know damn well you’ll be watching the next game hoping like heck that they win.

It is possible the Cubs are going to give up only two runs
in each game this series, and lose two of three. What a frustrating, and in many respects, sad season so far.
Ryanocm1 - July 8, 2009
That was pretty similar to the old losing streak
The pitching was good enough to win, but the offense was asleep at the wheel.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
And there is nothing Hendry can really do
he can only upgrade at one spot in the middle infield because he has saddled himself with some of the worst contracts in the game. If he hadnt, guys like Nate McLouth could have been available to him.

chilango2 - July 8, 2009
It's no worse than Demp's glove flip
It’s how he gets his rhythm
Clutch16 - July 8, 2009
Demp doesn't do it for rhythm. He does it to avoid tipping his pitches
cubsnlinux - July 8, 2009
Big difference
This is just annoying
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Why???
Kosuke should NOT face any lefties!
KedzieKid - July 8, 2009
Maybe he'll bunt, too
Clutch16 - July 8, 2009
And Milton should not face any righties.

Would you want him if you knew...

Allie - July 8, 2009
would you really

drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
Probably not
but there are times when I wish I’d never started to like baseball at all.
Its a cruel cruel game sometimes.
Allie - July 8, 2009
every team has games like these.
Ross - July 8, 2009
they have
done it before. The braves just scored 3 in the top of the 9th, why can’t we score 4 in the bottom?
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
cuz we have scored 2 in about 25 innings
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
all the more reason
to do it now.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
actually it was proof we couldn't
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009

it’s not proof of anything except that we didn’t.

WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
nah.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009

WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
whatever
I don’t believe it. The Cubs are a good team, just not playing to potential.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
you say that for a stretch but its been over half a year now.
I am an optimist but I am not even sure.
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
over half a year? It’s July. The season started in April. That’s four months.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
over half a season. we have played more than half our games
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
how about half a season Mr. Semantics
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
take a chill
It was a legitimate question.
Yes, we’ve played over half our games. We’re still in it. We just took 3 of 4 from the Brewers. I’m not giving up.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
we are in it because the division is terrible
not because we are good
BeltwayCubsFan - July 8, 2009

MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
actually
I didn’t.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
yes you did, you love to argue semantics when you've got nothing else
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
no, dood
I didn’t. And what nothing else do I have? We’re in the hunt, while not playing to potential. We’ll play better. I believe. I don’t need anything else.

the record
that says we took 3-4 from the Brewers, and we’re two games out of it?
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
what does beating the Brewers have to do with being better than the Braves?
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
what does
beating a division rival have to do with being better than a non-division rival?

go for it
you don’t have to watch.
Allie - July 8, 2009
your comments are tiring
Ryanocm1 - July 8, 2009
why?
if you’re tired of the team, don’t watch. games go on without you.
if your day becomes too dependent on a game, its time for a break.
Allie - July 8, 2009
people are entitled to react, however they want
to a very frustrating game.
Everytime someone vents, it is not your responsibility to chastise them. It gets tiring.
Ryanocm1 - July 8, 2009
I vent too
Offering PERSPECTIVE isn’t chastising.
Allie - July 8, 2009
Logic and reason
Do not apply.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
I respectfully disagree
telling a cubs fan not to watch because they are frustrated isnt perspective
Ryanocm1 - July 8, 2009
Telling someone it may be time for them to take a break
seems like perspective to me.
YMMV.
Allie - July 8, 2009
no one has
a gun to your head making you read her posts.
sue369 - July 8, 2009
of course not
and I never said otherwise. But the consistent criticism of other people’s posts is grating.
Ryanocm1 - July 8, 2009
you mean like the constant stream of
“Cubs suck. They don’t play hard. They don’t care. They’re lazy. They stink.”?
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
You are not required to respond to that
seems to me that is probably the better response.
Ryanocm1 - July 8, 2009
You weren't required to
respond to Allie either.
sue369 - July 8, 2009
True, and most of the time I dont
and maybe I shouldnt have but I thought it was worth mentioning.
How bout this, from here on out, none of us, including me, will criticize another’s post for being inane, stupid, annoying or what have you. Just ignore it if you dont like it.
Ryanocm1 - July 8, 2009
And I usually try
but if your day is dependent on a GAME, you need someone to tell you to take a step back.
And I’ll stand by that.
Allie - July 8, 2009
Part of why I suggested...
…grabbing a beer. Life goes on.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Ok
I hear where you are coming from although I dont necessarily agree.

Ace Venom - July 8, 2009

WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
sure it does.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
yes it does
sue369 - July 8, 2009
"They should take the rest of the season off"
“go for it”
Is a nonsensical response. Unless he’s part of “they”
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
They Live
Great movie.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
troll.
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
then stop watching them
sue369 - July 8, 2009
Oh right
You sure you didn’t put up a bid to buy the team?
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
130 million only buys 41-41
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
Inflation
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
+100
Cubz24 - July 8, 2009
get out of here white sox dbag
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
Me?
Oh yeah. Him.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
cubz24. these trolls are so easy to figure out. they care more about cubs losing than sox or whoever else winning.
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
Thats not true at all
I am a die hard cubs fan, so do not even question that, I am just very frustrated, im sorry
Cubz24 - July 8, 2009
Put things in perspective
A lot of people are in hard times right now. So the Cubs are 41-41 right now. If they finish at .500 this year, there’s always next year. There’s more to life than baseball.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
People are saying im a sox fan, not even close to being true
Cubz24 - July 8, 2009
your only on here when cubs lose. and most of your action is AL teams.
you are not fooling me. never been on when they have one. i checked your record.
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
never been on when cubs have won.
all your posts in game threads are from AL games and losses. pretty obvious there cubz
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
you are not smart
Cubz24 - July 8, 2009
smarter than you
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
where are you getting Whitesox from?
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
Good because...
My inflation remark was an attempt to lighten the mood.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
They deserve to be booed after that.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
CubbieintheSouth - July 8, 2009
Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy game.
Oh well gotta ho prepare for the big series against the crads.
KaliCub - July 8, 2009
Perfect ending
To this crap sundae of a game. Let’s go get a beer.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Sounds good
CubbieintheSouth - July 8, 2009
or 10?
sloathcheck78 - July 8, 2009
sounds even better
CubbieintheSouth - July 8, 2009
or three
brian custer - July 8, 2009
Bad
Just Bad.
sloathcheck78 - July 8, 2009
Wow.
Another ugly loss. They did not look ready to play.
Mapmaker - July 8, 2009
They looked ready
They just got outplayed today like they have in 41 of the games they played this season.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
30 million dollars spent to a worthy Kause
jesus christos - July 8, 2009
I wonder
if losing Demp has anything to do with this, or losing Demp and Soto…
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
I wasn't aware that Demp was a good offensive player
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
no
but losing a strong contributor and leader like Demp can still be a blow.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
is it time to start making excuses up? He is still in the dug out.
these guys are professional Athletes if they let dempsters toe injury affect their offense they should be sent to Iowa and a shrinks office.
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
I'm not making an excuse
I’m wondering if it had an effect.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
well, plenty of people on here already claimed the team would get tons better once ARAM
was back, I guess now we can start rationalizing the poor play as losing someone else. It’s never the team on the field’s fault I guess
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
Aramis hasn't been back long
It’s not like there aren’t more games left to play.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
did I say that?
I’m darn sure I didn’t say that.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
What did you say?
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
They're all weak and soft
Can a day go by without someone pulling up lame?
Itchy - July 8, 2009
WE SCORED TWO RUNS IN TWO GAMES IT WAS NOT PITCHING
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
that is true
brian custer - July 8, 2009
I'm not suggesting that the loss of him as a pitcher is the problem
but the weight of saying “wow, he’s out for several weeks, can we handle it”.
That’s all. There’s more to this then their play on the field.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
you really believe that is a factor or even can be a factor?
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
sorry
about my nasty posts
brian custer - July 8, 2009
as I say to my son
don’t be sorry… just don’t do it.
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
good advice
brian custer - July 8, 2009
Alright
well, a day off tomorrow, which sucks, but lets them rest. Hopefully Soto isn’t as big a deal as it could be, and we get Demp back soon. Big series starts on Friday!
drewishdrewid - July 8, 2009
+1 that is the right attitude drew.
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
point of refrence. pretty sure dodgeres last year had worse record than 500 at this point.
in 2006 I know cardinals had worse record than 500 late in the season.
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
Dodgers acquired a player that turned their offense around
if we do that, we have a chance. They didn’t stand pat and hope everything suddenly got better
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
true thats why i included 2006 cardinals
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
who won thanks in large part to the rest of the NL falling down
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
possible lol
MandMexpress12 - July 8, 2009
other than the dodgers
do you see a great team in the NL this year?
just gotta get in… who knows what can happen after that.
(in order to get in though, we’ll definitely have to start winning more consistently.)
Allie - July 8, 2009
we just have make the playoffs
a wild card will do
brian custer - July 8, 2009
Hopefully they
play better this weekend.
sue369 - July 8, 2009
I think they will
To me it seems like they play very hard against the division and don’t even try when they aren’t playing the divsion.
sloathcheck78 - July 8, 2009
Yeah, disappointing series.
Just have to hope the team gets some rest and comes out swingin’ against the Cards. At least the Cubs won’t keep us up the next couple nights.
daver - July 8, 2009
this was a big series, which we lost.
buckmulligan - July 8, 2009
We need
ARami to get back on track. Right now, if DLee doesn’t hit, we don’t win.
jaxinnabox - July 8, 2009
We really missed Fonzie's bat in the lineup today....
(LOL)
Need to get the bats going this weekend, Cubbies. Let’s hope the Brewers help us out tonight/tomorrow.
I’ve already forgotten this game.
carmen_fanzone - July 8, 2009
Hope no one jumps a railing on the off day.
Box score is ugly.
0-3 RISP, 4 LOB, 3 GIDP, and pitching handed out 7 walks.
Yuck.
Allie - July 8, 2009
0-3
Is better than being 0-4. That’s a small consolation.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Lou told the reporters
to ask the team why they are not hitting.
sue369 - July 8, 2009
Wow
It was about time someone said that, but to have it come from Lou is needed. Could it be his way of trying to light a fire under them?
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Lou:
“Fox will be back up catcher until we know anything about Soto” (Friday)
“I’ve tried to answer the question all year. Go ask the players why they aren’t hitting”
carmen_fanzone - July 8, 2009
so as usual, he puts the players in a position to fail
and when they do, he throws them under the bus
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
Lou's got a point...
carmen_fanzone - July 8, 2009
Which is my point
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
he'd have a point, except he hit Soriano in the leadoff spot about a month longer than he should have
and continues to insist that Bradley bat left handed despite his huge struggles.
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
Given Soriano's history
Could you blame him? The fact that Soriano’s funk lasted that long is baffling. Bradley is also a switch hitter. Why wouldn’t he bat left?
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Exactly....
carmen_fanzone - July 8, 2009
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
And?
Soriano’s slumps never lasted this long. Is he really doing that much better now? Not really. And Bradley? Who knows what’s up there?
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
he may not be doing much better, but he's not starting every game off with a strikeout either
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
A strikeout is a strikeout
Whether you lead off the game with a strikeout or end the inning with one, a strikeout is a strikeout.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Except if the leadoff hitter gets one, and then the guys following him
drive him in, there’s a difference. It’s not rocket science
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
on, not one
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
And you strike out to end the inning
And no one scores. You can fly out to begin a game. You can ground out to begin a game.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
I give up. There's obviously no point in a team's leadoff hitter
actually getting on base to start a game. You’ve convinced
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
me
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
But there is a point
I’m just saying that I hate it when no one is actually driven in. You’ve got to get people on base to do that.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
yes, and with Soriano at the leadoff spot
that was rarely the case. Which is my point
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
But your point
Doesn’t address the fact that he hasn’t gotten better. It’s a small sample size, but it’s a valid complaint.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Sure
That’s how it’d work in every game and every inning in a perfect world.
But no one does that. So saying that Soriano automatically fails b/c he doesn’t do it all the time doesn’t make sense.
Allie - July 8, 2009
you're just arguing to argue
you’ve admitted that it was time to move Soriano down.
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
I was arguing
But was she? In all seriousness, you’re not going to get on base 100% of the time.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Sort of
I am a little bored. :-P
but your argument like that doesn’t make sense. Dome doesn’t get on every time either, but he’s a cure for it?
Allie - July 8, 2009
We're all bored
What we need is a cure all. Get Brian Roberts, Mark DeRosa, Jake Peavy and maybe even the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
We should probably get Halladay too
Just to be sure.
Clutch16 - July 8, 2009
Other switch hitters who have "stopped"....
Could you give an example?
carmen_fanzone - July 8, 2009
Only reason I'd see
Z didn’t bat switch one night recently due to some trouble with his left wrist..
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
and Andres Blanco, sure....
…but WW is making it sound like quality major league ball players that switch hit do this all the time.
carmen_fanzone - July 8, 2009
And I'm left wondering why Andres stopped batting switch
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
shoulder injury
carmen_fanzone - July 8, 2009
That's it
Maybe I ought to read
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
He has shoulder surgery in the offseason
and doesn’t feel comfortable yet with it as his front shoulder
Allie - July 8, 2009
Yep
I purposely left myself out of the loop by not reading. That’s my story.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Explain this
Explain the magical inconsistency of this team to hit well and then suddenly stop hitting. If they were in the cellar of the division, that would be one thing. This is totally different.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
It's Lou's fault, because he makes out the lineup...
…or something like that.
carmen_fanzone - July 8, 2009
when have we hit well?
we’re at the bottom of the league in hitting and we are only not in the cellar because the division sucks
BeltwayCubsFan - July 8, 2009
who has he purposly put in a position to fail this year?
Allie - July 8, 2009
Gerald Perry?
Ross - July 8, 2009
You'll expose the great conspiracy
Next thing we’ll know, the La-li-lu-le-lo are responsible.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Soriano continuing to bat leadoff LOOOOOOOONG after he'd gone ice cold
Bradley continuing to bat left handed when he’s completely worthless in that position…
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
Soriano is streaky
NOT sticking with him would’ve been worse than being too supportive.
Asking a S to bat from both sides… isn’t “setting someone up to fail”.
Allie - July 8, 2009
so you disagree with moving Soriano down?
Or did we magically hit that wall where it was finally okay?
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
and how do you get worse than hitting .220?
you’re telling me he would have hit .190 if we’d moved him down sooner?
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
we got to a point where it was time to try something else
maybe Bradley is there/getting there… but I don’t think we’ve PASSED that line yet.
Allie - July 8, 2009
IMO we got to that point long before we actually tried it
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
I agreed with the move
I expected him to come out of whatever slump he was in. This one lasted longer than usual, so this was necessary.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Soriano is a head case...
He is not a leadoff hitter and hasn’t been for years. But he pouts and goes in the tank when he doesn’t lead off, so the Cubs acquiesced to his whims.
Ross - July 8, 2009
he doesn't, and hasn't pouted
he’s only ever said he’ll bat wherever he’s played.
It’s been Lou who has said we signed him to be our leadoff hitter
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
Solely your opinion, nothing's been shown....
….to prove that’s even remotely true.
carmen_fanzone - July 8, 2009
Whatever
I am going to go play with the dogs in the rain.
It can’t be as cold as the Cub bats lately…
Allie - July 8, 2009
Have fun
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
actually i lied
its REALLY cold… well not “cold” but its 50 with the wind.
Allie - July 8, 2009
50?
That would be a relief right now.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
where are you at?
Allie - July 8, 2009
Louisiana
Up until this week, we hadn’t gotten much rain and it had been pretty hot (around high 90’s and even triple digits).
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
do the Vampires still pose a problem out there?
WanderingWanderer - July 8, 2009
Only if you watch True Blood
It’s 84 out right now. It hasn’t been too bad this week.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Yuck
All we’ve had is rain. And its either been 80 and muggy as all hell or 60 and damp.
Allie - July 8, 2009
We've been needing rain down here
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
y'all can have it
we’ve strung maybe 3 rain-free days in a row since January.
Allie - July 8, 2009
That bad?
Yikes.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Well
There was a bit of exaggeration.. but not a whole lot.
Its been gross. We’ve needed the rain, b/c we were in a 3 year drought or something… but its getting ridiculous.
And the mosquitos are ginormous.
Allie - July 8, 2009
Wow
They haven’t been spraying up there? They spray for mosquitoes down here.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
I'm out in the sticks
and apparently it has to be dry to spray.
The fact we live in a natural wetland doesn’t help.
Allie - July 8, 2009
I grew up in the sticks
I grew up in a farming community, which is a big difference.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Yeah
Lots of soybean farms around here… or there used to be. Lots of farmers have sold off the old lands to developers…. who can’t read a survery report. The natural drainage has been screwed up.
Yay for flooded basements b/c of morons.
Allie - July 8, 2009
Logic and reason
They don’t always apply.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Is that your line for the week?
:-P
Allie - July 8, 2009
I guess it is
:-P
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
there are worse lines to adopt
Allie - July 8, 2009
You're right
Perhaps I should try to adopt worse?
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
What you adopt is up to you
my friend.
Allie - July 8, 2009
Sounds good to me
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
This team will be the NL central champs.
lexmarklover - July 8, 2009
I hope you're right
I just see a .500 team.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
you both could be right
no one’s run away yet.
but we’re too talented on paper to play this much like garbage
Allie - July 8, 2009
In 2014
santoswoodenlegs - July 8, 2009
2015
Didn’t you watch Back to the Future Part II? We beat Miami in the World Series.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
Doh! and I even wore my B2TF t shirt today.....
santoswoodenlegs - July 8, 2009
Fail
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
nah 2009.
lexmarklover - July 8, 2009
2009?
I guess a lot could happen this year.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
I just have this weird confidence that
this team is gonna bust out. If Hendry could get a bat or two, this is a legit WS team.
lexmarklover - July 8, 2009
It's not confidence or pessimism
I just see what I see.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
what do you see?
players under performing?
lexmarklover - July 8, 2009
Bingo
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
On paper...
This team is like a virus, you get sucked into them, and try as you might to not care about them, you know damn well you’ll be watching the next game hoping like heck that they win.
cubfanwill - July 8, 2009
this team is a .500 team right now
but trust me, they are a much better team than what you think.
lexmarklover - July 8, 2009
Seeing is believing
That’s pretty much all I’ll say.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
you probably said that about the 07 team ....
but hey you do have a point
lexmarklover - July 8, 2009
True
The ’07 was a surprise. The playoff collapse last season was a surprise too.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
baseball is a game full of surprises
i just hope the Cubs have surprises in store
lexmarklover - July 8, 2009
I hope you are right...
But nothing from this teams so far has shown me to think otherwise.
cubfanwill - July 8, 2009
i think we as cubs fans were really spoiled by last year
I’m not saying i’m right …. far from that actually. Just be patient. Everything will start to fall in place.
lexmarklover - July 8, 2009
I wouldn't say we were spoiled
Last season was just very exciting. This season? Not quite so exciting.
Ace Venom - July 8, 2009
