We faced him in our home opener this year.

They have hit him pretty well over his career but he can be tough.

It wasn't the second game of the season, it actually was the seventh.

Took two of three in Houston and Milwaukee, and that was our home opener.

At least a split

The Cubs need to get at least a split in this series and I will be happy enough, a 500 road trip. The way they’ve played on the road you can’t expect alot more and with the Cards playing the pirates they are going to need to avoid a disaster.

As for the Soto/Hill thing, I’m sure if Soto goes back to hitting like the 08 Soto somehow, we won’t see as much Hill.

We can't be alarmed if the Cubs are 3 games out by Wednesday

Playing the Rocks and Phils while the Cards play Pit and Cinci. If our boys play well, it’ll all take care of itself. We could use a little help from the AAA Pirates and Bakers Boys though.

Pirates can screw with Cards though

They don’t know very much about these new players. Then again, AAA probably can’t hit Carpenter…

Crossroads time for this team…. Seriously. If they can’t figure out these next 7 games and compete well, the road gets much harder..

I'd be thrilled with a split

As hot as the Rockies are we should consider a split a triumph, and come home happy. Haven’t seen for sure, but I assume Hoff goes down. At least that will give Fox more ab’s, and some back up time at first too if needed. I wonder if far down road they realize they might have trouble paying D-Lee after next year, and Fox might be a solid option?

I like Brenly

but don’t really see him wanting the job. He seems to really enjoy working out of the booth. He gets days off to go see Michael play and has really grown as an announcer.

Brenly does a very good job.

I appreciate the fact he is honest. I might not agree every time but he won a WS and I stopped playing after junior year of high school. I value his input for sure and think giving him a shot at managing the Cubs down the road would not be a bad idea.

Ronny Cedeno tonight

Saw him in the field twice (wasn’t focusing too much). Still makes me cringe even if he’s not on my team.

He’s a flashy player when he can make a play. It’s OK to do that if you’re team isn’t in the race. But he’s blown plays trying to be fancy many times too. He’s not good enough to be pulling that stuff as often as he does.
