Cubs and fantasy baseball fans!
It's time for Fantasy Baseball, BCB style. We've had a core of 5-6 guys who have regularly participated in this Bleed Cubbie Blue fantasy baseball league in the past 4 years (Azul Cachorro, Iswaids, Lemurs, Hansman come to mind....).
We're looking for a few active managers to join this "just for fun" league. This year's winner will receive the 2011 Tyler Colvin Bobblehead that last year's winner rejected!
Please only join this league if you can make 2 commitments:
1. Be at the online auction on Monday, March 19 at 8:00 pm
2. Check your team at least once a week to set your lineup

for a free, fun league
don’t have the time for daily changes. I know it’s not ideal, but want to make it user friendly. H2H too, so if a guy goes on DL for a week, it’s not a huge deal.

Starlin Castro. And then no others til Carlos Marmol who’s ~top 100 or so.

I'd have to agree with you
I might not even consider drafting Marmol—but i was looking at a list The Sporting News put out and they have Garza at #134. Ranking are like opinions which are like—well you know—and they all stink.

I am a bit confused
The league rules state that it is a “Live Standard Draft” & that it begins at 4:30 CDT on March 19th. What am I understanding wrong? If it is an auction, is there a list of prices for players? How does that work? Sorry for the questions. I just want to be prepared and do this right.

You get a salary cap and bid on the players you want. Highest bid wins the player. Typically receive 10 seconds to decide after a bid is made.

There's yahoo suggested prices for players
but some of them are way off, etc. and it really depends on who you like and the scoring settings, etc.
Best part about an auction draft: you can get any player you want. Can’t say the same for a snake draft…
