Happy 20th anniversary of the movie "Groundhog Day."

Don’t listen to that poser in Punxsutawney. Woodstock Willie’s prognostication was for an early spring. I think we should consider his the official prognostication of the Chicago Cubs since Woodstock is much closer to Chicago.

Groundhog Day used to mean something in this town
Phil Connors: This is pitiful. A thousand people freezing their butts off waiting to worship a rat. What a hype. Groundhog Day used to mean something in this town. They used to pull the hog out, and they used to eat it. You’re hypocrites, all of you!

You're missin' all the fun!

These people are great! Some of them have been partyin’ all night long! They sing songs ’till they get too cold and then they go sit by the fire and they get warm, and then they come back and sing some more!

This is one time where television really fails to capture the true excitement of a large squirrel predicting the weather.
Winter, slumbering in the open air, wears on its smiling face a dream... of spring. Ciao.
groundhog day

(the movie) came out Feb 12 1993. its 18 years old at this point. water under the bridge I know but one thing is for sure. the cubs have been stuck in a championship ground hog day for 100+ years. ITS TIME TO WAKE UP BILL.

It was filmed in 1992.

I live in Woodstock where they filmed it. They are celebrating it as the 20th anniversary.

Ouch

Punch line wasn’t worth all that reading.
